I didn't realize this hotel was against the party district. Upon arrival the front desk mentioned it was quieter on higher floors and upsaled us $30 a night for the quiet. However, even from the 15th floor the building vibrated from the noise. It may have been quieter on other side but was told moving wasn't a good idea as they had construction on that side. The restaurant was average. The cocktail pool rooftop bar was really nice except they blast AI music everywhere so you can't even have a quiet conversation (at least pick a chill Buddah Bar vibe if you must). Since the bar was mostly middle age couples and up looking for some quiet after a day in Austin the least they could do is turn it down a notch or play real music. It has the potential to be really nice if so.

Staff were very attentive and went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant stay. The rooftop offers spectacular views of the city and is reserved only for guests. Overall had an excellent experience at The Westin-Downtown.
