This is a 5 star hotel, modern and up to date! They even had water dispensers in the hallways where your could get still or bubble water! The location was also great, you could walk everywhere you need to go, the palace, the museum and even the train station.

Great hotel, good location, amazing staff!

We loved this hotel for the location, the comfort, small but significant features like coffee maker and small fridge in the room, and very nice touch of offering water and sparkling water dispenser and a nice glass reusable water bottle in the room. Upon our arrival, we asked for a quiet room. They upgraded us to a room facing the gardens and we did not any street noise.

Nice but I’ll pass on a second stay

The hotel is super cute and the stay wasn’t entirely bad but there were a couple of things that made me not want to come back here. Thankfully, I had 2 beds in my room because one of the beds had hair all in the sheets. I started to complain but since the other bed was clean I let it go. Second, the room was super hot when I arrived. I set the thermostat and left to explore the city. When I came back the room was still hot. I called the front desk for help around midnight and they sent someone. It took a second but we figured out that the circuit breaker was off for some reason. After about an hour the fan from the A/C unit started to make this loud squeaking noise. I learned this was the reason why the breaker was off and I had to turn it back off to sleep. I told the front desk again and the person that came to the room to investigate said he’ll see about another room for me and he nor anyone else ever got back to me about this. The breakfast had nice options but I did ask for a hard boiled egg for my avocado toast and they ignored me and gave me a runny egg anyway. Thankfully I only had a short stay here, 2 nights.

Radisson Red is a solid option right in the Atocha neighborhood of Madrid. Walking is quick to Plaza Mayor, Place de Sol, Salamanca, Prado, etc. IF you are travelling with kids, their family rooms are great and spacious for a family of 4.

The location of the Radisson Red was great. Close to Atocha train station (express bus from airport runs to here), Prado Museum, the underground and bars and restaurants. The hotel has a youngish vibe to it although there were all ages there. It was modern, a bit undustrial and very black and red. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. We had a superior room with terrace. Room was reasonable size with a very comfy bed. bathroom was modern, good size and clean. The terrace was huge with views. Loads of seating. The breakfast was good with a large choice. There were a few things you could have cooked to order too. The restaurant where breakfast was served was really nice. It wasn't too busy but I imagine it could get busy at the height of the season. We would consider staying here again if we return to Madrid.
