I loved every moment of my stay at the Steele Mansion. Everything was immaculately cleaned. The staff was incredibly kind, helpful and ready to assist. The complimentary breakfast was delicious with many options. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone wanting a unique experience filled with ease and comfort.

After several stays at this beautiful mansion, we would never consider any other lodging in the Painesville area. Immaculately clean, friendly staff that go above and beyond to meet and exceed expectations, and a great location just down the block from a beautiful walking path. Beautiful historical mansion refurbished into 16 room inn. It was like staying in a museum. Staff was fantastic, friendly and very accommodating. Looking forward to staying there again.

Wonderful in every way

Absolutely lovely place to stay! Every square inch was immaculately clean, the staff were all friendly and had great suggestions for local activities, breakfast was delicious, each room--guest rooms and common areas--were fun to explore. .. I truly can't think of a thing I would change. We also had fun making friends with Boo the cat, who lives next door and is a regular fixture in the parking lot. He is wary enough that cat-averse guests wouldn't need to go out of their way to avoid him, though. Even as a Clevelander, I'd never spent any time in Painesville or the surrounding communities. The beaches were beautiful, and there were more parks than we could've counted. Fairport Harbor had lots of cute shops, and the Fairport Harbor Creamery was good enough that we had no choice but to go two days in a row. If we were looking for another easy vacation spot, we'd happily go back in a heartbeat.
