Poor experience, breakfast manager, was very impolite and not willing to give me plastic wrap to take breakfast sandwiches to our room for the next morning. We had sunrise tickets to Cadillac Mountain and would not be there for breakfast the next day. I didn’t know he was the manager but a young lady working there said she’d give me some plastic wrap after he had told me “No, No. He didn’t care about the guests requests. Office manager was very nice and apologized for his behavior and said he had talked to him already about the situation. Even with this situation, this hotel was the best place we stayed in Maine for a week. Bar Harbor parking and restaurants are very expensive! Close location to visit Acadia, but we found it very difficult to navigate and a lot of driving around.

This was a wonderful, affordable option in Bar Harbor! I enjoyed the ocean view from the balcony in my room. The free shuttle conveniently stops at the hotel and is a good option for avoiding parking in the busy downtown area. Connecting shuttles on the village green also service several destinations in Acadia National Park. Highly recommend!

Positives: The view was incredible even being on the first floor. Also did not realize pool was salt water and heated! The breakfast was surprisingly tasty. The housekeeping team was extremely friendly. The shuttle to town was very convenient. Cons: while we were eating breakfast, we saw that some cups had fallen on the floor and a customer picked them up, the staff ran over and helped her and then stuffed the cups that had been rolling around in the floor back into the original stack. Ugh. The person checking us in was super patient and friendly with the guests in front of us but was a bit short and ready to be done when we checked in. He was still polite but not the same level of friendly. Not a huge deal but we noticed.

We loved the convenience to Acadia from this property and downtown Bar Harbor. Property was clean and comfortable. Loved that breakfast was offered too! Shuttle was convenient as well. Will definitely stay here on our next visit to Acadia!

Bar Harbor Stay

Stayed at the property, one would think this is a relatively good property and all of the rooms at least on photos have decent AC units in this particular room that I was in it’s on a third floor, on the section above the driveway and it had a built-in 5000 BTU conditioner that sounded like the train wreck. In addition, the water pressure was very iffy. This section seems to be an afterthought that was just built, but it should literally be called out or at least have photos of those room rooms because they are just not the same.
