Comfortable room and fairly clean for a bed and breakfast. There were some downsides that could be improved. First, the complimentary breakfast that is included in your rate is only available until 9:30am every day. It seemed like an early cut off for breakfast, especially since we were there for a relaxing weekend and wanted to sleep in. Also, there are no TVs in any of the guest rooms. There is no carpet or place to put your snowy boots/ shoes when you enter the guest room, so water gets all over the floor. It would be nice for the inn to provide a couple bottles of water in the room for the guests, since the tap water didn’t taste fresh. We asked for ice and glasses, since we brought drinks with us, and the hotel was accommodating. There is a Keurig machine in the lobby, but it wasn’t always replenished with water or pods. When we checked out, we had a lot of luggage to carry down the stairs and load into our car. The inn owner was at the desk and watched us struggle with all of our bags. It was only when we accidentally dropped some of them that she offered to help.
The property was very clean and comfortable. The host was very friendly and accommodating. Reasonably priced. Best in the area unless you want to spend $500 a night.
We love the Wayside Inn. It is a beautiful property, offering many rooms with river views. It is fairly priced which includes a fantastic full-service breakfast. We usually have dinner in the restaurant which never disappoints. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. It is a family owned business and you feel like part of the family when you stay.
Innkeeper was kind and helpful, room was nice and the clawfoot bathtub was a treat! Breakfast was delicious in a lovely room with scenic views. Would love to come back!

From the road, this inn looks charming, but up close it was a different story. The room was clean on the surface, but the building has a lot of problems. It was nice to look out at the small river in the back, but the screen door fell off when I moved it and the chairs on the deck were completely covered in mildew. The refrigerator had water pooled in the bottom and half the electrical outlets were non-functioning. In a nutshell, the place is old and in desperate need of repairs. I don't need fancy and I don't mind rustic, but the maintenance at the Wayside Inn has indeed gone by the wayside.
