Place sucks

We booked a King bed room. We got a two queen room and were still charged the full price. I honestly willing to look past all the construction going on. No chairs on the beach. ha ha. There was no beach. I asked the inn keeper directly if we would be charged full price. she assured me it would be the queen rate

The location is right next to Big Bear Village and it on the lake. Very relaxing and quiet place. Highly recomend!

The room did not have warm/hot water. So...no shower, for instance. This was known by management (and other travelers) far in advance, but we were not notified in time to make a change. Also, they have changed the pet policy (no dogs) and that was how we selected the property in the first place. The staff were great, the location was good enough, but I can't remember the last time I literally had no hot water. Also, was promised a discount because of the no hot water and could not get it.

The view of the lake was nice but the property itself looked rundown and not worth the price of the room. There was no A/C and the furniture was in need of repair. Other nearby hotels were a better deal.

They upgraded our room so we had lakefront with a balcony. The view is incredible. The beds and pillows were comfortable and clean and no issues with hot or cold water as some others had experienced it. The staff are very nice and accommodating. It’s near The Village where all the shops are at. Highly recommended

The place is undergoing new management The front desk should be given training/seminar how to welcome costumer. Did you see the continental breakfast. What was that. Not even a microwave. We stayed in 3 diff hotels that weekend, this is the only place I'm not coming back to.

Big Bear Lakefront Lodge is a gem!!

Absolutely loved our stay at Big Bear Lakefront Lodge! The staff (Terry and Marisol) were extremely courteous and accommodating. They offered my family a warm reception when we arrived. The view is amazing!! A beautiful, inspiring panoramic view of the lake and trees. Even better... this cozy lodge is located right smack dab in the heart of Big Bear Lake, literally down the block from the village! The beds are comfortable, room was tidy. Perfect for the family! Big Bear Lakefront Lodge is a gem!!

Arrived early, at 12:30 office was closed, manager didn't answer the phone. Had lunch - came back at 2:45, office was closed, manager didn't answer the phone. Current occupant came out and said the manager never showed today, and there is no hot water on property which is why they had sub 100 dollar rates. After I found other lodging and spoke with Expedia at 3:30, I got an email at 3:58 from the property confirming lodging and check in, etc. I got confirmation and instruction 1 hour after check in time. Additionally the instruction state they are no longer pet friendly, Expedia lists them as pet friendly. We had already drove over an hour up the hill with a pet.. All in all horrible, office closed for over 4 hours during open hours, and not answering the phone over 6 times during those 4 hours. Will never attempt to stay here again.

Honestly my bad for booking a $40 Motel room and expecting the place to not be gross. I check in only to learn that it’s . Leaky bathroom faucet, brown skum in shower, paint peeling off walls. Pulled bed away from wall to check for bed bugs and while there were none there was a done of dead skin and hair built up under the bed

Honestly i was very anxious for my stay, i had seen that there were bad reviews but only after the fact that i already made reservations, surprisingly i had an awesome time, the manager was super nice and welcoming as well as all of the other employees, she did let me know of the warm water not working in the building i was staying in, none the less i wanted to stay in the room so id have a kitchen, the room exceeded my expectations, it was very clean, they had utensils, dish ware and cooking ware. the private water front was so beautiful especially at night. the balcony was a definite plus too. they did have complimentary breakfast with items like juice, coffee, cereal, breakfast bars and a few other things. my stay was very affordable. Although it’s mid summer in california the weather was perfect, unfortunately there was no ac, and as a person who gets very hot easily, i would say the ac was not needed, i’ll definitely be returning and would recommend checking this place out for your next stay up in big bear. there were many fun activities that i was able to do in my 2 night stay, there are many things that are at walking distance or a very short car ride away, id recommend going to the alpine slide, going out for a kayaking experience, and/or checking out a fun spot called gold rush mining adventure.

arrived only to be told there’s no Hot water. Accepted it being that we had driven 3 hours and our toddler had thrown up in the car so he needed to be cleaned asap. Left the next day even though we had two nights. The linens were not clean and the floor left all of our socks black. No refund was given for the night we elected not to stay. This all made for a pretty miserable experience for our first and last time at big bear. I don’t recommend.

Great location, unfortunately rundown. Traveled with 2 kiddos and we didn’t have any cold water for bath time the entire stay. Breakfast wasn’t available Saturday morning so come Sunday morning we just ordered food to be safe and avoid any hangry meltdowns.

I was suppose to stay for 2 days ending up staying longer. Ladies in the office makes you feel at home and welcomed. They even offer free continental breakfast and coffee. If your looking for a private and quite place this is the place. Good for Artists and Writers, a quite place to concentrate.
