The exterior of the property looks like it could need some repair, but the interior of the rooms are quite accommodating and well upgraded, would definitely recommend if you are looking to spend some days in the eastern Sierra, the views are amazing

The room we booked was given away to another group (I looked photos online and booked that room for my particular request) They said we got upgrade to private cabin which is old, lower ceiling (hardly breathable) - worst in many ways. We declined it right away, ending up the room we didn't book but seem nicer than the one we got "upgraded"

It was clean, the decorations are outstanding, the vibe was great. I would definitely stay here again. Unfortunately i cannot rate breakfast because we skipped it. Overall great customer service and lobby was playing good music.

Very charming lodge. Great staff. Maybe place reservations for guests with dogs on the first floor though. Dog claws on a wooden floor make a lot of noise for the first floor rooms.

I picked this place due to some good reviews and the location; it was quite close to the Village shopping area and right on the main street, Big Bear Blvd. No problems checking in, but when the person told me that they were going through upgrades but the cabin I was staying in (Belclare) hadn't been upgraded yet, I took that as a warning, like things aren't going to be so great. I rented a single cabin that was not attached to any other units so it was nice and quiet. I knew it was going to be "rustic" and I didn't expect it to be a four star hotel, but it was a bit lacking. The place looked and smelled clean, but after walking around in my socks for a little while, I noticed the bottoms of my socks were turning black. They should have mopped all the floors, not just vacuumed. The bathroom had the same issue, the floors looked clean, but they were not. Shower head needed to be replaced, there was plenty of hot water but the shower head is so old it was not spraying properly. It was also loose, and I just pulled my toolkit from the car and tightened it so that at least the nozzle was not just pointing straight down. The bed was fine, a little soft, but I slept well. The heater and air conditioner were functional, although the heater is SUPER old and seemed a bit dangerous, it still worked and none of the smoke detectors went off. I guess I just drew the short straw on this one.

It’s a very nice place .spa inside the room. Quiet.the staff were good. The guy I forgot the name and the lady. They were both good and polite and very accommodating .i will definitely comeback when I go to big bear again.

This look nothing like the pictures you have posted on your website. There was only one cup for two people to drink from ,one chair for a person to sit and no microwave as they said he would have, no hangers to hang our clothes ,and it seemed like the room was still under the construction the bathroom door wouldn't even open we have to push it open or push it to close it was a terrible to stay. But the staff were nice
