Welcome to Kumbaya Log Cabin!

This is a two-bedroom log cabin with a loft that serves as an additional sleeping area. The loft has a full bed, a twin bed, and a full bath. On the main floor, the two bedrooms share a full bath. One room has a king bed, while the other has a queen bed. This home is in a prime location, just off Poplar Grove Road, only 5 minutes back to Highway 105 in Boone, and 8 minutes to the main intersection in Boone. You can also easily reach Blowing Rock, either going through Boone or down Popular Grove Road to Shulls Mill Road. The main floor features central heating and cooling, while the upper level has electric baseboard heat and seasonal window units for air conditioning, providing a welcome coolness on rare days in the mountains when a little cooling would be appreciated.

The living room has beautiful hardwood floors and a large leather sofa that could comfortably accommodate an 8th guest if you needed the room. Enjoy the large, flat-screen Smart TV, or just enjoy your company around a wood-burning stone fireplace. (Note: The living room sofa is not a pull-out sleeper sofa, but will nicely accommodate sleeping for one).

The kitchen floor is also hardwood, and it is very spacious and well outfitted with pots, pans, dishes, and other cookware that the owners thought would be helpful to have for all groups. They especially noted a large pot for cooking soups or spaghetti. There is a charcoal grill available as well.

The dining table comfortably seats 6 and enjoys nice views out the windows surrounding the kitchen. This home is located in a well-planned and neatly maintained log cabin community in Boone, North Carolina. One comment that we hear again and again from those who stay in this community is how they enjoy the peace and quiet. People love sitting on the porch in the early morning, enjoying the sunrise with a cup of coffee while listening to the occasional nickering of the horses grazing across the valley in the Yonahlossee Stables. Maybe you would like to arrange a riding lesson while you are here!

Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive 100% refund
