It was our first time and we loved it. Room was clean, staff very helpful and kind. Convenient distance to all we had to do. The only downside is that we had a room facing the exterior and my son and I had a hard time sleeping at night when the bar scene came to life. We felt the music in our room, people shouting, police, ambulance, we heard it all from the fifth floor. The hotel did offer to swap our room but at that point we had a night to stay and we decided to keep our room instead of moving. Being located near all these bars is clearly out of the hotel’s staff’s hands and therefore we are giving it a 5 on 5 for everything else. Thank you for your hospitality, we will be back.

Great location, close to everything I frequent whenever I'm in the area. Staff are helpful and friendly. Room is clean and well appointed with snacks and water. My main gripe with my stay last year was the lack of a door in the shower which meant water getting everywhere, so I'm glad they introduced a door to the shower. I will say, though, that the hotel is not in what I'd call a quieter area. It's located on a bus route where cars often double park and obstruct traffic, so there's some honking late at night. Being near bars and night life, there are also loud cars and people late into the night as well. I'm not knocking the hotel on those though, that's just the nature of being in that area.

Perfect stay in Boston

Fantastic hotel with great friendly staff and lots of the finer details taken care of that demonstrates that they really care about their guest experience. From the snacks on the room to the free urn of hot chocolate that gets you at reception as you return to the hotel escaping winter air, it felt really homey. The downstairs lounge was a nice place there unwind at the end of a long day sightseeing with a glass of red and a recline on the comfy armchair s and lounge. Location odds perfect walking to everywhere. Would def a stay here again

The Godfrey is the place to stay in Boston

The Godfrey's proximity to my daughter's apartment was the initial draw, but the hotel exceeded all expectations. Its location is incredibly convenient, with a nearby T stop from North Station and many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Beyond the prime location, the exceptional staff, thoughtful amenities (including in-room snacks, water, and a drink coupon), the delightful RUKA restaurant, and the George Howell coffee shop made a perfect stay. I'm eager to return.

We are more than delighted with the Godfrey Hotel. We came to Boston to attend the ballet with an overnight stay. The hotel service has been exceptional. Everyone has made us feel very welcome. The decor is a lovely mix of modern and stylish old charm of an older era. It all works and is quite pleasing architecturally. All the amenities are wonderful and obviously carefully considered for guests’ comfort. The hotel is in a perfect location, close to theaters and shopping. The restaurant attached to the hotel (Ruka) was a culinary delight. We had wonderful service and the decor there was comfortable and attractive. The meal was a delicious blend of PeruvianAsian and served as small plates making the meal an easy to share experience. We can’t wait to return to the Godfrey and Ruka.

The staff was nice but clueless. So many things went awry. It was laughable. For example, the bartender “only had one ice cube”. We couldn’t work the tv and she sent up an “engineer” who knew nothing and was unable to speak. Things like that.

Stayed here with some friends on the night of my 26th birthday. Hotel was nice and offered two free drink tickets for bar upon check in, I am going to note they offered candy in the lobby as well. Stayed two days after Christmas and was still all decorated which was a nice touch. In downtown crossing, so expect a lot of noise and for sure keep your head on a swivel. Decently priced for the timing and the area though, you can tell the hotel is older but it was clean and close to where I needed to be.
