From the moment we walked in the door everything was about welcome hospitality…glass of champagne, cool lavender cloth for our face, help with our luggage and it just got better, if that were possible. Live music on the porch after fine dining in the pub!! Our 2nd stay and we look forward to our third!! 5 stars!!!

Very cool hotel. Lots of unique things to do, like sit on the wrap around porch, with a cozy blanket and roast s’mores on the fire. That was definitely a highlight for us! The only thing is the description of the rooms and guest services needs to be updated. On the website it is a bit different. We booked a room that said it had a separate sitting area and the picture showed the bedroom had a door and it was separated from the main suite by a door. However, it was all in one room. Not a huge deal, but maybe some updated pictures and descriptions could show what you are getting more clearly. The property description says that there is a guest laundry, but there is not. There is however a coin laundry just a block away. Also, there is a nice continental breakfast included every day, and that was lovely. Also, as a guest, you have access to a nearby gym and the fee is covered. We really liked that, it was a good gym. Overall, a very beautiful and well-maintained building with lots of unique things to do. Very comfortable beds and nice big bathroom too. Would definitely stay again.

This is truly a historic property, and have a wonderful feel of old time Montana. However, there are problems for older or disabled people. There is no elevator, so if you have mobility issues, getting to the second floor with your luggage is a problem. Indeed, there is not even a bell staff or offer from the front desk to assist with the luggage. I can understand if you buy an old hotel that has no elevator, your options are limited, but at least there should be a warning on the website for folks with mobility challenges. A second issue is that in Three Forks, at least on the day we were there, the selection of breakfast options were nil (one cafe with health cautions and the other closed). So, if you wanted breakfast, you were limited to the continental breakfast at the hotel, which consisted of some bananas and cellophane wrapped muffins. I would hope for better. However, I cannot rave enough about the onsite restaurant and bar that was open for dinner. Everything was 5 stars...the service, the drinks, the menu and the food quality were excellent. It would be competitive with any restaurant in a large urban area. It made carrying two large suitcases up the second floor totally worth it. So, there is a lot of potential for this little hotel.

Fabulous Historic Property, Wonderful Amenities

This place is beautiful!! The atmosphere, the staff (the gal that checked us in was so warm and friendly - I wish I could remember her name), the room - everything was wonderful. Something to note: since this is a beautiful historic property, there is no elevator. We were fine, but if you are someone with mobility issues, make sure to look into first floor rooms if they're available! We ate dinner at the Sac Bar and it was fantastic food and service. Overall, this property left a wonderful impression. My only complaint was that we only had time to stay one night! I will definitely be back if I get the opportunity

Beautiful hotel. They have done such a good job paying attention to all the details from the hint of lavender when you enter your room to homemade banana bread at breakfast. Their coffee is fantastic! You can browse the lobby for hours and admire how they’ve displayed our American history. The people that run this hotel care.

Historic building that is well maintained. The interior of the first floor is gorgeous. The only issue is, they dont have an elevator and we were on the 3rd floor and we are 71 and 70 years old.
