It was great value for money — $70 per night for three people, including breakfast and a late-night dessert (9–11 pm for the after-theater crowd), was truly a steal. The hotel itself is very old but reasonably clean.
However, there is no elevator. With my injured knee, climbing three flights of stairs was really tough. Had I known this earlier, I would not have stayed here.
Another downside was the lack of attendants during breakfast and dessert sessions. Tables weren’t cleared, so many guests ended up eating breakfast while standing. Forks even ran out at one point, and since no one refilled them, everyone had to eat with spoons — which was oddly funny in the moment!
