Staff were curtious and helpful. Woke up to construction noise in the room opposite us. Can't be helped I suppose. Our room had no fresh air access. Not even an exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Great clean rooms,, stayed in queen room, pleanty of space, staff were very friendly. Currently under renovations there was noise but it wasn't loud, parking limited due the renos will need a small car there but parking is very limited only a few spaces free if any.

The lack of information that the elevator was not working upon leaving the hotel. Had to walk down 6 flights of stairs in hot dusty stair well. The aircon in the lobby not working so it was like a sauna just checking in. Pool area was closed- also not told this upon booking. The pool was green and looked gross. Felt like the hotel couldnt take you money quick enough but didnt offer to ask how the stay was, or an apology for the renovations, or walking down flights of stairs with luggage. Honestly wouldnt recommend it to any one

Huge amount of building work going on. Hotel was dirty from all the work. Lift full of dust, as was the corridor. My room, while quite clean, smelled of damp and smoke. Breakfast wasn’t great either. Average “English breakfast” selection plus very limited continental selection. Staff were helpful.

The room was lovely, the beds comfortable. The continental breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but the cooked option was good, and there was great coffee. We had a great view of the Star building, and out towards the river - which afforded an exciting view of the storm rolling in (but not affected by it, which was good - though it did sound a bit like a window blew out somewhere?) However having drilling that sounded like it was in your room at 7am is awful! We knew that there was construction going on (apparently on the floor below us!) And one of the lifts looked like it was a construction zone itself. But couldn't all power tool usage wait until at least 8am? Also the 'workers' didn't seem to be too respectful of us and also not using the lift that was indicated as being for staff and hotel guests only...

We went for a night at the Casino, so very handy. We purchased the $18 breakfast which was delicious. Room was very clean, comfy bed, only downside is the noise due to renovations, which woke us at 7.15 in the morning when work resumed.
