Extremely clean throughout the property and especially our room. The bathrooms modern and contemporary look, made me feel like i paid way more for my stay. The free breakfast was really yummy, and lots to choose from. I didnt expect such a variety for a complementary breakfast. Staff was super friendly, anyone wearing a staff shirt that passed by us, always smiled and said hi. It really is the simplest details, that make customers happy, comfortable and returning!

A smoke detector started beeping, intermittently, directly outside our door at 3 am. Clearly a low battery. There was no safe chair for us to use to remove the battery. Called the front desk, “ no engineer on duty”! When we checked out at 9 am it was still beeping. Front desk gave lame excuse ( we went up and it wasn’t beeping so we cleared the issue ). I pointed out we told the desk it was intermittent so standing there for 2 minutes wouldn’t have necessarily detected it. For goodness sake check with your guests to see if the problem resolved. No real apology or effort made. In the midst of trying to get back to sleep, I flipped my pillow over and found a piece of half eaten candy/ mint stuck to the pillow case. Sorry Hampton Colchester but we will never stay at your location again.

Great room. Have stayed multiple times, enjoy the staff and good free breakfast. We did get put in handicap accessible 2 times, we were unsure why, so 1 didnt have a bathtub and sinks were lower for getting ready. I will say the TV situation with not linking to on demand personal channels seems dated. But again, we've chosen this hotel multiple times, beds are comfortable and clean.

I travel a lot. My husband also travels a lot with his company on work business. We try to stay at Hampton Inn whenever we can because of the points and the great breakfast. This Hampton Inn staff was incredibly rude and hateful. Don’t stay here! It ruined our whole trip!

We got a room from Expedia and we pacifically asked for pet friendly. We found the cheapest best room closest to us and it was The Hampton comfort inn in Colchester, Vermont and they never said anything about an extra $80 plus tax. On the Expedia website that we made the room order on or when I checked the Hampton inn room website didn't say anything but this is dog friendly. Almost being $80 extra for our little tiny 10 lb dog and we got there and we were trying to check in and the young lady working was rude, disrespectful and started to argue saying that it's an extra $80 for us to have our dog and we said well that's not what expedia's website or your website say anything about that. So when I asked her for a refund cuz we didn't want to spend an extra $80 just for our dog to spend the night she got rude and disrespectful and so I just said whatever and I left and next thing you know my girlfriend dropped me off and she was mad at me. She went back, tried to go in there and pay for the dog so she could stay there. And she said she was refused and I don't know but most people that purposely ask for a dog friendly hotel and pay for it online and then get there and told they're going to have to spend almost an extra $100. I don't know any man or woman that's going to be too happy about that. This is the second time I've done something through Expedia where I got to the place and they had extra rules or things they wanted and they said oh yeah Expedia third parties they don'
