We were met promptly on arrival for the keys to the house. The property was beautiful and the house was spotless. We lost electricty due to a storm but the generator kicked right up without missing a beat. Kids and grandkids loved the horses, air hockey, large garage, rocking chairs on the porch and entertaiment area. Our GPS had issues locating the exact location of the home but they have a large sign out front to guide you in. We would definitiely come back with our large clan. Pleny of beds and areas to enjoy.

The space and amenities are great. Beautiful location. Have never done ABNB or VRBO that required as much cleaning prior to leaving. For the price paid should not have had to do extensive cleaning.

This is our second stay at this proprty. It's a great location and plenty of space for all of your peeps without feeling crowded. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment so you can have your gourmet dinners. It is close to parks and quaint towns. The host is also amazing and quick to respond to questions or concerns. We look forward to going back again for our next friend gathering!

We were at Scenic Ridge Guest House for our family "Thanksmas". This home is so much better than the listing let's on. The hosts met us at the property with the keys and to welcome us. There is plenty of space for the kids to play outside or in the "center". The corn hole game was very much enjoyed and the kids played air hockey continuously. Multiple games, videos and books were available to use. The fire pit is a nice gathering spot in the evening. The home was clean and well furnished including a well stocked kitchen. The large kitchen has more than ample room for meal prep and eating. The large living room is a comfortable place to sit and visit. The basement provides plenty of space for table games, video viewing and extra sleeping area for the cousins to camp out. There were lots of nice touches that made us feel special. The hosts were very easy to work with and were great with communication. Although we didn't take in any of the activities I'm the area there are plenty of things to do close by.

The host was very welcoming and the house was perfect. The bedrooms and living spaces fit our group of 8 to play way too many board games all weekend. We were able to have games upstairs, downstairs at the same time. The horses nearby come up and say Hi if you're outside and the comfort of the beds was amazing. All and all 5 stars, we'll be back next year!

We had 10 women in our group for the weekend. It was a great place to hang out together, or have a little solitary time. Plenty of room for all of us at the dining table, in the living room, and beds for sleeping. The nearly 2 mile walk around the block was a relaxing time in the country. We love this place!

Scenic Ridge Guest House is always a place to sit back and enjoy the serenity and beauty of the surrounding hills. The house is clean and fully stocked. If you need to watch TV or sit on the internet/wifi all weekend, this is not the place for you. However, if you enjoy old fashioned conversation, reading, walking or just watching the surrounding farm animals it's a real gem.

We are a group who have been friends for 50 years. The house is very spacious and well equipped. The open kitchen and dining room allows people who are making meals or cleaning up to still be involved with the other guests. The wrap around porch is great for viewing the sunset over the valley. The host was quick to respond to our questions.

We had a great time again! The kids got to see the horses up close, which they loved, they enjoyed the air hockey table and watched a movie. They also played games and just had fun being cousins in the same house!Joanna is a great host, and she has a lovely home. Sitting on the porch rocking was also a favorite for the adults watching the sunset.

Great property for a family get-away! Beautiful home, lots of extras - firepit, games, gathering areas. While in the area, we went horseback riding , hiking, swimming and paddleboarding on Pleasant Hill lake, and canoeing and kayaking on the river. Would definitely stay again!

This house is perfect for a family gathering! Plenty of room for everyone. The basement is amazing for teens to hang out, the yard is big for corn hole games, and the garage area with extra refrigerator is a game changer. The property is beautiful and can’t be beat for a family gathering. Everything from coffee on the porch to family card games around the big table is just perfect!

Our Favorite Destination

This is my fifth stay at Scenic Ridge 9my husband and I were married there four years ago. My husband's family attended the wedding and fell in love with the house as we had. There is a group of six couples (us and my husband's brother and sister plus others) from Springfield, Ohio that get together once a month for game night. We decided last year to come up for a couple of days to play games and explore Amish country. We had so much fun we booked again this year and already have dates picked for next summer. The only thing that we would love to see happen is replacement of the mattresses. Several in our group commented that they were not comfortable.

So beautiful and relaxing

I am so thrilled we were able to find a home that the entire family (kids, parents and grandparents) could fit comfortably and relax together. The property is breathtaking and the house was clean, had a useful floor plan and was thoughtfully stocked with things for our stay. Some highlights: Horses! There are horses in the field next to the property that are curious and friendly (and love apples). Fireflies! At dusk an amazing number of fireflies dance around making the fields twinkle. The porch! There are plenty of comfortable rocking chairs that made enjoying the surrounding valleys a pleasant experience, day or night. There is so much more to mention, but these are the things that stand out as really special. Having us all under one roof is something we treasure and the entire family can’t wait to visit again!

A beautiful retreat

What a beautiful property! We spent a weekend here with the extended family and loved it. Very clean and plenty of space/bedrooms for all. Lovely views from the porch. Quiet in the evenings and overnight. Everyone (and I do mean everyone) was impressed with the place and wants to come back again for next year's weekend get together. There are many things to see in the area should you choose, but hanging out at the house is just as rewarding. We will be back.

This home and the surrounding area are beautiful. Plenty of bedrooms, lots of space and everything we needed for our stay. We were staying the weekend for our daughter's wedding and the photographer we hired was just in awe of the place as well! And to top it off, the host was kind and easy to contact. Check in was a breeze! I would highly recommend Scenic Ridge for a family get together if you are looking to reconnect and relax.

We really enjoyed Scenic Ridge. The property owner was very communicative and accommodating. The house was sparkling clean, nicely decorated and stocked with the necessities. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. Very good for large families or groups; we would stay here again!
