Out of date

Location is great a few minutes from the terminal by transfer which the hotel provided. Problems were around technology. There was an old phone with reception marked as 7 to which the phone rang and rang with no answer. I gave up After several attempts and called 0 and got through. There was a Qr code to scan for room service and it took you to check out and confirmed your order was made and paid for. No food arrived so once again I called and they didn’t understand and in the end had to come to the room to get the order and start from scratch. The usb charging point did not work. Overall not worth the heavy price of the Novotel name.

When one takes shower the water comes out forms big puddles over the years it has damages the door and frame, the management should address it. The gym is so old and opens at 10 am! The shuttle will stop very far from the door u will be dragging your luggage through rough road after you do all the work the staff smartly shows up to help!

The room was noisy with a lot of banging in the hall. The check-in was good with no wait. We arrived early and they were kind enough to allow us to check-in early, as long as we promised to complete an online review. We agreed, since we usually complete reviews anyway. After getting to the room there was a fire alarm that sounded. As we were preparing to leave the room, the alarm went off. We called the front desk, but nobody answered. After several attempts to call the front, we gave up and hoped everything was fine. The alarm sounded again, about 5 minutes later. We also heard that the alarm was sounding in other buildings, like they were doing a test throughout the building. We had lunch at the Italian restaurant in the hotel and found it disappointing (separate review for that). When I came back to the room from the restaurant to get something, the cleaning person was in the hall and asked me how the room was. I said it was clean and said thank you. She then asked me to do a review. I responded that I would later since I had somebody waiting for me at the restaurant and was just getting my sunglasses. She asked me to open the review and took my phone from my hands. She gave full stars all the way down and wrote my room number in the view before submitting it and take a photo of my phone with hers. I took my phone back, got the sunglasses, and deleted the review. There is too much pressure for getting reviews.

Close to airport is positive. Property is dated and not looked after properly. Toilet papers holder is broken, so rolls left on the water tank. Securtity interior lock is not aligned properly. It appears the room was occupied by smokers earlier.

Very near to Cairo airport. Good bed, nice bathroom. Staff are friendly and attentive. Would recommend for a short stay as not close to downtown Cairo but Good place to stay before flying out. Has shuttle to airport.

Customer service from staff was very poor. Rude and unattentive to queries. Arrived well past check in time and was made to wait for a room for over 40 minutes. When finally allocated a room, was placed on the ground floor next to staff room with loud noises at early hours of the morning. Would definetly not recommend this hotel.

Great service

Had such a great experience from check in till leaving. I missed my flight so arrived in the morning and they only charged for one not two. Also, happy with the airport shuttle,Mahmoud at the check in desk was very helpful. Helped sort the shuttle and check ins very quickly. I definitely recommend when in Cairo.
