A Fun Retreat

A beautiful, comfortable old home nestled in the woods! Lisa was so welcoming & made fantastic breakfasts. (Our only complaint was that we couldn’t get the tvs to work, but it didn’t affect our stay.) Thank you, Lisa!

Cozy place for a short stay

Hospitality was exceptional. Quaint home however some updates can certainly make the stay a lot better. Window AC need to be updated along with the shower curtains. The mattress definitely felt more like laying on a hard bench which wasn't good for my back at all. Breakfast was awesome. This can be a 10 if minor updates were made.

A Hidden Gem

Feom the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, the service was great. Owners Marty and Gaile were great. Whether it was to offer information about the house, the area or just to make you smile, Marty and Gaile truly made the experience a great one and felt like we were staying at grandma and grandpa's place. Breakfast was great as well as dinner at the in house restaurant, My Daughters Place. Marty is an excellent chef as well as his daughter who cook dinner with Marty. The house is over 100 years old and has it's own character and charm. The bed was big and comfortable, we both slept well. The only minus was that our room, #2, had a stand up shower that was a bit small and the toilet was a bit close to the wall, but these things can be expected. Other rooms had larger showers with tubs and the rooms in the 3rd floor had a nice shared bathroom. Overall this was a great time with great hosts. We cant wait to return.

Such a treat!

Loved our stay at Brookview Manor. Gail and Marty were friendly, hospitable and tended to our needs. We felt like family. The breakfast was amazing, plentiful and so delicious. Marty is an awesome chef who loves his craft. It was convenient to have dinner 'at home'. The menu was extensive, inspiring and very tasty. Our suite was comfortable and we loved having a separate sitting area. We were close to nature, the casino and the Outlet Mall. Plenty to keep us occupied on a rainy weekend. We left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed and taken care of. Perfect getaway destination. I hope to go back. Highly recommended.

Pocono Getaway

My first impression was not great. We had a communal bathroom; the heat was not on the first night, and it was very cold. The room was too busy; knickknacks everywhere; no place to set my coat. The breakfast is served at 9 am which was not convenient for our departure day. BUT, the place grows on you, the breakfast was absolutely hot and delicious; the hosts were friendly and very nice. The second night we had heat so it was much more comfortable. I am on the fence as to whether I would stay here again. Brookview Manor is in the heart of the Poconos, and the area is absolutely one of our favorite destinations.
