Just returned from an amazing stay at Riu Cancún, and I have to say the resort itself is absolutely stunning. The location is unbeatable—right on the beach with crystal clear water, incredible views, and beautifully maintained grounds. The pools are lively, the staff is friendly, and the overall atmosphere makes for a great vacation. That said, while everything else exceeded expectations, the food selection left a bit to be desired. It wasn’t terrible, but it definitely didn’t match the quality of the resort’s other amenities. Some of the buffet options were repetitive and even stale, and the specialty restaurants could use more variety and authenticity. The rooms are also falling apart. The hotel needs a renovation to live up to its name in my personal opinion. Still, the overall experience was fantastic, and I’d definitely return. Just hoping to see a bit more effort and creativity in the kitchen next time around!

Overall, the resort was amazing. From the live entertainment, the different restaurants, the scenic views, and the staff. I also loved being able to go to the other RIU location to experience the RIU party. If I could change anything it would be the air conditioning. We felt like it didn’t produce super cool air.

The property is at a great location walking distance to Coco Bongo. The loud pool was disgusting it was very packed with people and it seemed like they didn’t get up to go to restroom. The food restaurants are not as good they need more variety.

If you are into partying and drinking, this may be a good place for you. The hotel have plenty of activities and parties in all the Riu Hotels in Cancun and one is welcome. The hotels have theme parties and it seems that people have a lot of fun. Also, it has at least four open bars around the facilities and the service its great. Also, the hotels provide mobile bars around the pool, so people can enjoy a drink while cooling down in the pool. The bars open early. You see people drinking as early as 11:00 am. Also all the rooms are loaded with alcohol. But if you are not into partying and drinking all the time, you may not like it. It's very busy and loud. Also the hotel looks old, the rooms look old and its full with very young adults. One not may have a very good night of sleep because there is constant noise of people arriving at 2, 3, 4 or 5 in the morning from partying. The beds are not super comfortable, the TV's are not the best quality. Pretty much is a party hotel.

We enjoyed our stay here, staff were amazing and the activities they had for us were fun. We had access to the Riu Party at the Caribe via free shuttles that came every 10-15 mins; pool parties were fun. We didn’t like that the pool closed at 7:00pm but understand that it was for treatment purposes. As well restaurants closed at 9:30pm so their last seating were basically 8:30pm. So if you get hungry past that you either eat at the buffet again until 10:00pm or hots/burgers/sandwiches that were from the Sports Bar made from earlier in the day or go off the resort to find a place.
