After I booked the hotel on Expedia, I got a phone call the next day from the staff to not only confirm my reservation but to make sure that we would be ok staying on the 3rd floor since there was no elevator available. When we arrived at the hotel, the staff was welcoming and I was greeted by name. We were able to check in before the designated time and parking was available for us. The room was slightly outdated but very clean. The beach is just right across the street and the property has a pool on premises as well. Easy walk to restaurants and downtown area. Wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Avondale again. Thanks for a great stay!

I had a great stay! The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. The location was perfect—right across from the beach and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants. Super convenient for a relaxing getaway. Would definitely stay here again!

Clean, beachfront hotel in a central location making it easy to walk to all the best places in Cape May- included parking and private ocean view balcony give this hotel the big advantage for me. However, I found it strange that the hotel does not offer beach towels. Seems like an obvious and assumed service to provide given the location. It's annoying to guests not to have towels for the beach- and no one wants to buy a towel and then carry a wet towel back home.
