Staff was very friendly from the moment we walked in. The place was very clean. The breakfast that was included was surprising. I did not expect the variety that was offered for a smaller location. Would stay at again if in the area.

Room was 58 degrees and heater was blowing cold air. The front desk person came up and tried to reset the thermostat, left and came back again. The maintenance person had left for the day, no other rooms available. The front desk person called to offer us rewards points for the inconvenience, which we declined, we don’t stay in hotels much. The maintenance man was called back, he was so nice, took him replacing a couple parts, but after 3 hours of freezing, it was fixed. He also brought up a small space heater to help warm the room up faster. I was very grateful he was able to fix the heater, temp outside was in the teens. It would have been appreciated to of had a different compensation for the inconvenience other than rewards points, but in the end, we had a warm room to sleep in. Staff and maintenance guy were super nice.

This hotel’s condition is unacceptable for it being a Holiday Inn and for what the room rates are. It has not been remodeled in forever, there was only grab and go breakfast which wasn’t even put out on time and even the elevator inspections were expired! Will never stay here again.

Fairly new facility, nice room. Very clean. Staff was very friendly. The only issue I had was that you can hear everything in these rooms. Through the door and the walls, in the hallway and neighboring rooms. Other than that we were very pleased!

Why was the breakfast bar dirty and poorly stocked ? I stayed at a Holiday Inn express last night in Michigan city Indiana and the breakfast bar was phenomenal. Hot foods, hot oatmeal, pancakes… This hotel had a dirty microwave… You had to microwave instant oatmeal… And just cold foods like yogurt and cereal. Sad
