Hotel in desperate need of maintenance!

Very disappointed. We stopped for an overnight after hours of driving and the minute we entered the hotel smelled musty. The elevator was not operational so they moved us to 1st floor. There were fans where there was an obvious large water leak. The wall paper in the hall was falling off the walls and taped up! Our room ceiling was filled with water damage and the linens smelled musty. We didn’t sleep well due to the odor. The staff at breakfast was very friendly, as were the cleaning personnel in the hallways.

Good stay overall, but be aware of the elevator issue. I arrived at 4 a.m. after a long travel day and was checked into a third-floor room. Unfortunately, the elevator was out of service, and I had to carry my luggage up the stairs. The front desk clerk offered help, which I appreciated, but I declined since I only had carry-on bags. Still, climbing to the third floor multiple times over a three-day stay was a challenge—especially at 90 years old. The elevator has apparently been out for a while, and I saw no signs of repair during my visit. If mobility is a concern, I recommend requesting a room on the first or second floor. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were excellent, and the air conditioner worked quietly and efficiently. Breakfast was simple but adequate, and the staff were friendly throughout my stay. The hotel is located on Hampton Drive and may have previously operated as a Hampton Inn. If the price is reasonable and you can avoid the upper floors, this can be a good value stay.

Room 120 was musty and moldy. Found mold in one of the drawers. They moved us to 126. Was there a week with my daughter so she could attend a summer ballet intensive. Room 126 was just as bad. My eyes, nose and sinuses were burning from the must and mold.

We needed a pet friendly hotel in the Mechanicsburg area. I had never stayed in a pet friendly hotel before. I wasn’t prepared for the overwhelming smell of dog! Our bathroom sink was clogged and no effort was made to unclog it during our stay. The bedcovers were dirty and smelled like dog. The mattress was awful and I kept sinking into the left side. The breakfast was sub-par. The hallway carpet was dirty and smelled. I can say that the folks at the front desk were very kind and helpful and the lobby and dining areas have a nice enough impression. If you’re a dog person, I’m sure this place would be great. We have cats, but we needed a place to stay.
