We stayed at this hotel because it was the closest one to Guadalupe Mountains National Park and Carlsbad Caverns. Even though it is an older hotel, it was clean. We spent very little time there other than showering and sleeping. We did sleep well when we were there.

The closest motel to Carlsbad Caverns. Nice size room, good bed, clean, and a surpisingly good value given its proximity to the Nationalp Park. OK breakfast. The one downside is after 3 pm, the closest restaurants are about 30 minites away.

It was close to Carlsbad Caverns and an easy drive to Guadalupe Mountains national Park. Probably depends on the season but in February the only restaurant in town was closed. Had to eat food from the limited supply convenience store.

Nice hotel. Great Location

Nice roadside hotel within feet of the entrance to Carlsbad National Park and 7 miles from cave visitor center. Hotel was dated but kept up very well. Quiet and clean rooms. Basic motel, especially during off-season as few if any local businesses open. Very friendly staff. Reasonable rates especially for only hotel within 20 miles. Would stay again.

This place was NOT 4 stars... the room was clean, but bathroom floor had a small piece of trash on it which indicates it was not mopped. The TV channels were all fuzzy. The deadbolt did NOT work. When I told the lady at the front desk, she said she would "let maintenance know". I then asked her if she wanted to know which room I was in! LOL Did not feel safe as a single woman traveling alone. It also sounded like a toddler was having a dance party in the room above me. I won't be back - should have just driven the extra 20 minutes to Carlsbad and stayed there.

Sent us a text about lack of nearby restaurants. We did not have time to stop and eat prior to our timed entry to Carlsbad Carverns. Found out there were a plethora of restaurants 20 minutes away. I am glad we didn’t miss our timed entry.

Great location for Caverns

Checking in was easy. My room is spacious, clean, and everything works. I thought I didn't have hot water, but pushed the handle the other way, and voilà. It is definitely quiet, and I sleep incredibly soundly through the night. Breakfast is minimal, but the room has a microwave, mini-fridge and freezer, so come prepared. Carlsbad city is 20 miles away. The grocer across the street has very little. The caverns are 7 miles down the road. The wifi seems all right; the TV is Roku. Yes, I would definitely stay here again.
