The hotel was adequate, but it felt a bit outdated. We experienced a few minor issues during our stay. We could smell smoke in the lobby and elevator, and there were many people sitting near the front door smoking, which contributed to the smell in the lobby area.

We had an excellent stay at Comfort Inn. We booked it because it was relatively inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area. The outside of the building definitely looks aged, but the hotel itself was clean, staff was friendly, room was comfortable and the continental breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the Charlotte area, assuming the prices are still great. Wonderful experience overall.

Decent for a one night stay. Behind bathroom door there was clumps of hair. Hallways smelled of smoke and weed. Very noisy outside hallways. Overall like i said decent enough for a budget one night stay.

The room was very clean but a residual odor of nicotine. A prior guest must have smoked. BUT, the staff immediately addressed the matter. Overall, the cleanliness, appearance and morning breakfast and professional work of the staff are excellent reflections of your business.

I had an excellent stay at the Comfort Inn at Mathews. The staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming throughout my visit, always ready to help with anything I needed. What really stood out was their honesty and professionalism—after I checked out, I didn’t realize I had accidentally left behind a piece of jewelry that meant a lot to me. The hotel reached out first, and they immediately took action. I was so impressed by how caring and responsive they were. It’s not every day you find that level of service and integrity. I truly appreciate the way they went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others.
