Excellent Hotel!

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel was immaculate! The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. We had breakfast and due to the time we went down, we were the only ones there. I had fresh eggs made for me. We got an ample supply of pastries. It was brilliant! The only hiccup we had was that there is a constant noise in the room due to a fan or something that we can't turn off. Apart from that, I was very impressed with the hotel.

Hit and miss

I arrived to find dirty underwear in the bed, suggesting the sheets hadn’t been changed. I took them down to reception, and shortly after discovered a human tooth on the bedside table—clearly left behind by a previous guest. That was particularly unsettling. To their credit, the staff responded quickly and moved me to another room. However, when I returned from work around 5:30pm, I found the room hadn’t been cleaned. Another issue worth noting: rooms on the top floor were sitting at 27 degrees with no air conditioning, which made things quite uncomfortable. Quite frankly, I’d expect a refund in good faith. The rooms aren’t cheap, and the whole experience was a bit gross. I had originally considered booking this hotel for my team due to its location near our worksite, but after this, I’ll likely be looking at alternatives.

Really nice hotel, very clean and new, however it was bit pricey in the bar and restaurant, although had a nice meal. All good..

Not dog friendly at all

Why does this place claim to be dog friendly. By bringing our 8 year old labradoodle, we were told be cannot take the dog to eat breakfast with the other guests. We have to eat outside or use room service. We were excluded from the bar and other facilities too. We also were charged an extra non-refundable £50 cleaning charge for our hypoallergenic dog on a dry day. She never shed a hair, barked or made a mark while we were there. Please make the £50 refundable following a morning inspection by the cleaner. The room had several faults including a tear in the carpet. This place is only interested in wedding guests willing to pay extra for a special night.

Room very small no air conditioning wouldn’t move us due to booking through hotels. Com Looking out onto roof tiles very uncomfortable bed got little sleep room very dated as well . Very disappointed with the whole experience when it should have been nice relaxing stay celebrating a weekend wedding.

No provisions in room to cool it down which meant the room was 29.5 degrees. Our daughter cut her finger in a broken sink, told reception on check out, there was no concern. We spent 30 minutes waiting for food at breakfast due to there being no food , we asked for a highchair 3 times before being privided and when it was it was covered in toast crumbs and dirty. We werent offered tea or coffe. On a positive the bed was comfortable.

Booked a Executive room , the room was advertised as 160 square foot. I compared the sizes of the room before booking and chose to book the large room, couldn't get around the bed, it was that small there was only one bed size table because of the lack of room.

Belton Room

The Belton room needs a complete re furb in my opionion. I have stayed in the hotel before but in the newer block not the 'traditional' rooms. Although bedding was very clean and comfy, the following let it down. Cobwebs behind the bathroom door, cracked sink with no plug, broken kettle lid, the window paint was cracked and very discolored and needed cleaning, and re painting, old fashoned 'swag' type heavy drapes, view looked out onto a aircon unit and a channel between the roof i would stay here again as the restaurant, newer rooms and overall welcome you get in the hotel is good, but i would specifically ask not to be placed in a 'traditional room' until they have been refurbed.

The staff were very kind and efficient. We were able to check in earlier than was stated. The room was spotless and clean and the hotel itself was well placed with easy parking. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wildes Inn.
