This property is really a pub, with a few rooms available on a B&B basis. As a former 18th century coaching inn it has a charm which we really appreciated. The location is excellent for exploring the city - right on the edge of the pedestrian precinct and a stone's throw from the cathedral, and less than 15 minutes walk to the Festival Theatre. Our room, though relatively small, was perfectly adequate for a 1 or 2 night stay - bright and with all the normal amenities.We also had a small balcony which overlooked the Bishop's palace gardens. The breakfast provided was more than adequate. We also appreciated the beer garden attached. Staff were particularly friendly and helpful.
