Hotel needs updated and cleaned

Upon arrival, there was only one guest service attendant at the desk on the night of a Cleveland guardians game. We waited in line for over 40 minutes to check into the hotel. Our room was completely filthy and not up to standard for a Hilton hotel at all.

Hotel was ok at best. Once again, pool and hot tub were not in service. I really wish these things would be made known to users on apps like hotels.com. Especially when i am travelling with kids that are looking forward to swimming. Besides beinv understaffed for check in, the hotel was ok. Breakfast was very food, fortunately.

We really enjoyed our stay. Customer service was also impeccable! I’ve never had a staff member ask me the following, “Would you like top floor or bottom?” Also, “Would you like to face the city?” That’s awesome. We’ll definitely stay again!

For us to pay so much for the room and for parking which they didn’t even tell me just charged my card. Breakfast is not even be included, rooms are basic, it’s not worth the stay. I wouldn’t stay here again. Its outside the heart of downtown so you will have to walk. We came for the hot tub and even when we checked in it was closed for cleaning. There are better options with better amenities.

1. Room wasn’t ready at 4:00, which presented many problems since we were attending a 6:00pm baseball game. 2. Parking is not manned and not a convenient process to enter/leave. 3. Room had tape wads all over the ceiling. Shampoo holder didn’t function in the shower. In general the hotel is outdated and needs updated. This is the first hotel I have been in recently that didn't have USB plugs for chargers built into the tables/lamps. 4. Alarm clock was unplugged and still went off at 5:00am. 6. Purchased breakfast through Expedia but the hotel had no idea. Thankfully the front desk gave me a free breakfast voucher, even though I already paid for it. 7. Not posted or mentioned, but the pool was closed the day we left. Now, that would have been okay, but our room wasn’t ready at 4:00 so we couldn’t swim the night of our stay. Overall this was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. It’s disappointing because all my son wanted for his spring break was to stay at a hotel and swim. That didn’t happen.

Nobody ever cleaned my room during my 3 day stay, the tub was filthy and didn't drain, and I was locked in the pool area for 10 minutes. Yes, it sounds absurd, but they said the pool was closed because the door was broken. Funny though because it was open when I went in. No apologies or anything from the staff.
