I booked the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bryan-College Station partly because of the beautiful pool shown on their website. Unfortunately, that pool is not part of the hotel at all—it belongs to a private facility called THE COVE, which requires membership or local residency to access. Guests have no access to it whatsoever. This is very misleading and feels like false advertising.
On a separate note, the bathtub in my room was very slippery—I almost fell, which is a safety concern.
On the positive side, the hotel itself was clean, and the front desk staff were friendly and nice (though some were not as approachable as others). Parking was convenient, and the pool area that the hotel does have is small, but it worked fine for us since only my son and I were using it. The breakfast was also very good.
I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, breakfast, and convenience, but I can’t say for sure if I would return, mainly because of the misleading pool photo and the safety concern with the slippery tub.
