I don’t usually write reviews on hotels, but this charming space at all the charming things that just made it a very special trip. From fresh roses in the room freshly made cookies available 24 seven, the little things made all the difference. The room itself lovely

Quaint old school hotel that might need some TLC

We’ve stayed here twice. The first time was better than the second but I think it depends what room you get. I love the old school feel of the hotel and it’s a small place so the workers at the desk treat all the guests like family. The outside area isn’t too bad for walking your dog but don’t expect to go far on foot because the road is too busy. The bed is comfortable and the rooms are cozy. My only complaint is the plumbing. There is a terrible odor that comes out of the shower and the sink when you run it and it’s concerning. I think they might need to clean the pipes or something. I initially thought it was just the room I was in but after the second stay, it was worse so now I’m thinking there’s a problem. Hopefully they get it fixed because I would love to stay again!

This is a quaint mainstay of the Jersey shore area, located inland in what used to be horse country. The staff was very nice, the room pretty nice (showing its age a bit), and the grounds were welcoming. They feed a couple of feral cats at the front of the inn, so you may see them during your visit. All things being equal, if you want a place that has historic charm, the Colts Neck Inn is a good choice.

We had a great one night stay while helping our daughter move into a new place. It was clean and cute, the breakfast was fine and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We would definitely stay again.
