College orientation

It was wonderful. Took my daughter for college orientation. She stayed in the dorm while I had to find accommodations for myself. It was far enough for her to be independent but close enough if I was needed I could be there. Wonderful experience!

There was a homeless person sleeping in the parking garage elevator. Only one entrance to the hotel. We had to walk in the rain from parking garage to front door

Located in beautiful downtown Columbia, SC, it was very convenient to walk several places. However staff needs to know something about public transit. No one could help us and one staff member didn’t even know the name of the public bus service. Also some of the bathroom toiletries had gone rancid and needed replacing. But overall, very satisfied.

Unexpected Gem!

Very clean, friendly staff. The cafe was an unexpected bonus, with a full bar and delicious burgers and fries! This will be my new go-to hotel in Columbia.

The parking deck elevator was broken. The front desk wanted to act like they cared but gave us no help. They charged us 19.95 for a parking pass then it did not work. The room was the size of a closet. Do not stay in 610.
