Literally amazing! Went here on our honeymoon and we loved every second of it! The place is very clean and everyone on the staff is so nice and happy! The beach was beautiful and the pool has a nice swim up bar! Our room was cleaned every day very well! Very much recommend for anyone looking for a romantic getaway or a vacation with their family!

We absolutely loved the jungle atmosphere with great modern amenities. The food was always plentiful with many choices. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. Very spacious, comfy king bed with a generous bathroom. Loved the hammock on our deck. Already planning next years vacation.

The property is nice and the rooms are wonderful - we were upgraded to a connected room. Food was also pretty good, though a little more variety would be nice - there is a lot of Mexican between lunch, Mexican restaurant and Mexican themed main dinners. Shows were pretty good - magic show was the best. However the beach is not great - very rocky access, not great snorkeling from the shore and very loud music playing most of the time at the pool and near the beach - just not a very relaxing vibe - beach and music are my biggest reasons for rating this resort 3 stars.

There was almost no options for tours and excursions organized from the resort. All entertainment and cultural tours are from the island center, where you are supposed to get to on your own by getting a taxi and return by taxi... 5-star resort must assure the tours are in abundance with transfer to and from resort. So great food and service but completely uneventful and boring without a variety of arranged and offered activities... If you just want to sleep, eat, and bathe then it is perfect. If you want more from your stay, then pass this one up...

Entertainment team was very good. Property is well maintained. Very relaxing, laid back feel. Didn’t like long wait for some restaurants (no reservation policy) and lack of bartenders - only 1 bartender at beach bar & pool bar most of the time with 10 minute waits common.

I enjoyed the property. Clean, well staffed and quiet with lots of trees and natural sound barriers. I was disappointed with the snorkeling. Booked an outing at the pier but hardly worth it. Not much color at all and not much see life. We saw one turtle and one shark. Not in my top 20 places in the world to snorkel.

Iberostar Waves is my favorite resort on the island. I have stayed there 5 separate times. I’ve been scuba diving in Cozumel for 25 years and have stayed at many of the other resorts on island. Iberostar exceeds them all in my opinion.

Our experience with our room was not positive. We arrived and were told we had been “upgraded “ since no other rooms were available. Location of the room was great, however, almost every day we dealt with a sewage smell in our room. We had to call three times for the toilet which kept failing and twice for the door on our room which also kept failing. Staff did their best, but this room upgrade quickly turned into anything but an un upgrade. Disappointing for the money we spent.
