There have been a lot of really nice improvements to this property but the staff needs an overhaul. From the front desk, the housekeepers, and the wait staff at Azure they could use some lessons in hospitality. The bright spot in the staff was the valet/bellman Andrew. He was courteous and eager to help.

Very nice older facility in tip top shape. Vintage vibe but very well kept. We loved it! A bit aged, but very comfortable and I know what the salt air does to metal so no complaints. Very comfortable bed. Literally steps to the beach. We’re older and not in top shape so it was so nice to not have to traipse fast to get to the water. Nice packed sand that my husband enjoyed walking on. Staff was very friendly but not always knowledgeable. Front desk clerk couldn’t tell my husband that we’d be able to rent beach chairs. Gave him a card to a company that rented bikes but not chairs. Said the hotel didn’t have anything to do with “that”. But a company came every day and set up rentals right in front of the hotel beach area. So, why would she not have known this? The bell staff was excellent and very friendly. Food was decent and expensive as is expected. But pricey is fine so long as it’s good, and it was. Tiki bar staff was friendly and the drinks decent. We had a wonderful time and I’d highly recommend this hotel, but I had not been to Daytona Beach in 20 plus years and it’s become rather unpleasant and ghetto in places.

This is a great hotel, especially for the rates. The hotel and property are in great condition. Just walk the beach in either direction and look at the other hotels. There's no comparison. We would definitely return again.
