"Trout Retreat" on todellinen ja aito hirsimökki, joka sijaitsee vain viidentoista minuutin päässä Boonen ulkopuolella (vain muutaman minuutin päässä Blue Ridge Pkwystä) ja sijaitsee postikortissa, kuten 21 kauniilla hehtaarin alueella, melkein puoli mailia luokkaa Varastoitu taimenvirta, joka kulkee suoraan ohjaamon taakse. This cabin was perfect for the two of us. We found the cabin to be well stocked and very clean. There were amble towels, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had what we needed. There is a grocery store about 10-12 minutes away. We had a nice dinner t in downtown Boone which was about 20 minutes away. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the creek and fishing. I loved relaxing in the hot tub and having access to wifi so that I could get my work done even though I was on vacation. We are thrilled with our stay and rate it 10/10.

We had a great stay. The location is quiet, peaceful. The fireplace is wonderful. The kitchen has plenty of supplies, cookware, dishes. It is well stocked with towels, sheets, and blankets. We enjoyed having a fire by the creek in the evenings. We would definitely book again.

Jackie's cabin was absolutely perfect. It was better than we could have imagined. The cabin was well stocked with everything you might need. It was clean and decorated to perfection. The bed was comfortable. The hot tub was fantastic- clean and hot! The location is a short drive to Boone and Blowing Rock, the two destinations we enjoyed. My husband and I habe decided that this will be our go to cabin for a weekend away!

The rooms were immaculate and well stocked. We love the large screened porch listening to the rushing stream and frogs. It got cold the next day and we made good use of the fireplace. Mattress is the best.

We enjoyed our stay in this log cabin retreat. The cabin was clean, and had everything we needed to enjoy our 2 nights there with our dog. We enjoyed the gas fireplace. From the gas grill in the screened in porch overlooking the stream, to the very comfortable king size bed upstairs, very well equipped kitchen, we didn’t need anything.Mgt ROCKS!

It was a beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting. I loved the screened porch. We slept out there and spent most of our time when at the cabin on the porch. The only time we spent inside was to cook meals and take baths.

We booked the trout retreat as a long weekend getaway. This was just before a crippling winter storm hit most of the southeast. The manager’s communication with us in the days leading up to our arrival was excellent, including keeping us informed on the maintenance status of the hot tub, as well as offering provisions and concessions ahead of the winter storm.When we arrived, everything was as advertised. There was plenty of cookware, glassware, and utensils for us to eat in for all of our meals.Everything was clean, tidy, and in order. Our stay was during extreme cold temperatures, and this led to a large temperature differential between downstairs and the loft where we slept.There were plenty of towels, soap and shampoo supplied. There was a dedicated hot tub towel basket with plenty of towels. We used the laundry facility downstairs and that worked great also.We experienced issues with the hot tub being overheated, but there was maintenance staff on site when we arrived installing a part they had just received that afternoon. This leads me to believe that if there wasn’t a large snowstorm, preventing a technician getting to the house, arrangements would have been made to repair the hot tub immediately. In other words everyone was very responsive and even made accommodations for us to use the guest house hot tub instead.Lastly and most meaningfully to us, given the roads were really bad the day of our departure, our hosts worked with us on departure time.

We had a great stay at this little cabin. It’s just off a small creek, which I think they call a river, that is stocked with trout. We didn’t fish but all the equipment was available for use if we wanted. There wasn’t any cel service so make sure you print out the directions on how to get there and how to get in before you get there. Once you’re there though the WiFi was great if you do need to make a call. There was a slight communication error on our dates but the owner was very responsive and made sure we were taken care of. We had a great experience
