Great Glamping Experience

Stayed for a weekend getaway with friends. Hosts were very very accommodating. Pictures didn’t quite match reality, but things have changed since. Love that there is AC as well as fans. We grilled everyday where they had everything we needed to cook decent meals. There are critters and small wild animals around. Only thing I’d say is that the spiders can get into the tipi which creeped us a bit, but we handled it. Would definitely recommend this listing! Such a great glamping experience!

Cold and Wet

Upon arrival it was difficult to locate the teepee because of all of the other box units on the property. When we got into the teepee, the bed was cold and wet from the recent rains. When using the bathroom, we found that the water heater kept throwing the breaker. We packed up and left after the first night. It wasn’t worth the hassle.

driftwood tipi

over all the stay was good, the tipi is surprisingly large and spacious. the best camping/tent experience I've ever had. the space to move around, comfy beds and it not feeling like a typical tent. the only draw backs were the heater was pretty ineffective, I can't imagine if it were bitterly cold out) maybe an oil radiator would work better) and the tipi claimed a coffee maker but there wasn't one. like most camping you have to leave the tent to use the toilet , a lovely clean and efficient shower, toilet and sink were designated. we would definitely stay at this property again.

The tipi

We were so excited about staying in a tipi and it was better than we expected. Fans and an AC to help keep us cool which I did. Property was clean and had everything we needed for a quick weekend getaway.

A perfect little glamping tepee and getaway.

I surprised my family with this little getaway and they absolutely loved the tepee! Something different. Very clean with AC and so relaxing. My kids enjoyed so much. We definitely want to come back. My only gripe is the abundance of caterpillars in the nearby tree and sometimes they made it inside the tepee. But hey, what can you say, it's nature!

The Tipi was a unique and wonderfully fun experience and we loved the location! We (two adults, two children) spent three nights at the tipi and it was just right in size for that number of people. The location was close to plenty of amenities, gas, restaurants, the awesome town of Wimberley and quite a few wineries, yet had a hill country vibe. I would not recommend going if it’s chilly. While we were there, the nights dipped down into the twenties and the heater unit in the tipi does not produce much heat, if any, so I wouldn’t recommend going in the winter months. We also noticed the tipi tarp over the top was blown off and there were several open holes in the roof (and spare tarps in the tipi which I imagine is for rain coming in) so avoid going during rain season or rain in the forecast cause you will get wet! The property owner/manager was super responsive and was able to take care of questions and take action quickly. The bathroom and property were very clean and we enjoyed the common area for grilling, outdoor cooking, eating and my girls loved the tree swings! All in all, a unique and fun experience and we will be back!

Horrible Customer Service | Beautiful location

I'm trying to figure out who to contact about getting compensation for the cleaning fee ($45) and the service fee ($34). We arrived late to the property (8PM), they have a lock box where the key was in when we arrived which is a great thing. We brought food to grill but the fridge was cool (NOT COLD) and there was a leak inside. I reported this immediately upon arriving. They had an emergency number but no one answered. I called the next day, and the lady said that the owner suggested we trip the breaker to get it working again. This helped the heater/AC reset because our first night was COLD. Outside temp was 25 degrees and our heater was not heating at all. And on the night we arrived if it was not already cold enough, when we got ready for bed, the sheets were covered in white dog hair. We took photos. My mom and I shared this lodge and she is in the 60's, she has allergies. So imagine it being a cold night, heater is not heating, the sheets are dirty... and the property did not treat any of this as an immediate service! It was unacceptable, I talked to them to see what they would do to make it better. They brought sheets and left them outside, while we were out exploring outside this property. On the last day when we were cleaning up, I saw a pile of the white dog hair under the bed, I took photos. I also shared some of the photos with the 'emergency' number to call/text and they did not acknowledge any of this except to send them a photo, and even until now, they have ignored and said nothing about making this right. To the owner, shame on you. For you to not show your face makes me upset, you have these people working and relay your suggestions but you did not make up/make this right for your lack of responsibility in providing us with a clean sleeping area and not saying anything, like you had someone send some sheets and ignored MY suggesting of making this right. So please consider your house rules and treat your guest better than this. We cleaned up after ourselves and the cleaning and service fees should be waived for the condition that the lodge was given to us. I try to see who to contact from VRBO but it seems like this review is all I got. Outside these issues, the property is beautiful, the bonfire area is nice, we did make a bonfire and had hot chocolate around the fire. We grilled outside with our own grill. We also walked their trail on the property and it was fun. Overall we made the best of it!

Pleasantly Surprised!

We had a wonderful experience at the Tipi(Teepee)! The photos provided the insight we needed to set a clear expectation and help plan for the trip. The one thing that would have made the stay better would be to have had a map provided. There are other properties on site so I understand not wanting to provide free advertising but having a few blank squares and a TeePee to help locate the space you will be staying in, would help with arrival then maybe a star to mark your personally assigned bathroom just in case you dont know what a Yurt is. Once you turn into the gate, there are lots of trees and it's a bit difficult to navigate initially since the Tipi is in the very back of the property but once you get your bearings, no issues follow.
