I love it here the beach is impeccable, it’s so serene! The place is clean and staff friendly. The spa is great. I will say I was a little disappointed in that there is no real gym last year there was a little outside gym nothing great but it worked, this year it was total demolished with only one machine standing. Other than that though I love it. Also, while being an Expedia gold member and getting the perk of 20% off the personal RT airport to hotel transfer that’s very convenient however there is an option to save money, there’s a ferry to look up no one told us about that option so I take away points for that but I also don’t mind the convenience of personal travel it just cost significantly more. Of course I’d go again hopefully the gym is upgraded next time.

Room was quiet, good sound proofing from windows, bed very comfortable. Evening meals in both restaurants were of a high quality and at times outstanding. Private beach was clean with amazing clear water. Reception staff were very nice and helpful in dealing with broken light and sink. Unfortunately, we visited at the end of the season and lots of the spa facilities were broken. There were weeds everywhere in the lovely but poorly maintained grounds. Day trip boats pull up by the beach resort and use the ‘private’ beach and sun beds, which I found strange, as no one stoped them. Breakfast was of a poor quality (hard pastries, toaster a bit unsafe and took ages, fruit hard or tinned, had to queue for a hot drink drink then walk to the other side of the room for milk, fruit juice watery),

Great hotel with good facilities. Island was lovely and when the day trippers had gone home you had it to yourself. Coming to the end of the season so some of the area around the hotel was showing a bit of wear and tear, (decking on walk to private beach). Only other slight negatives were the Wi FI and hot water in the rooms shower (temperamental to say the least). Otherwise hotel, staff, location, food and other facilities were excellent.

Arrived at the hotel via the public ferry from Port Gruz, hotel is a 10 minute walk. The hotel itself looks superb and has an art deco vibe to it which we loved. THe reception staff were very friendly and provided a lot of information and assistance. The rooms was clean and tidy and well looked after, only thing i would pick up on was that due to mosquitoes there were marks on the paint work where previous residents had got the little blighters! The bed was incredibly comfortable and spacious, there was tea & coffee facilities which were adequate. The bathroom was clean, the shower was in a bath so if you have mobility issues you would need to let them know. The breakfast was very varied and had something for everyone, it was a shame not to sample everything! The hotel pool was lovely and quiet but a great suntrap. The beach is small pebbles so wear footware but the seas was lovely and the staff attentive. We generally ate out for lunch and dinner but did have dinner in the hotel on the one evening, the steak was superb and cooked to perfection, the dessert was lovely and completed the meal. The only reason it hasn't got 5 stars is it is due a referbishment and is a little tired in places but otherwise its a great place to stay if you want somewhere to switch off and relax.

Lovely relaxing hotel and facilities.

Lovely hotel with everything you could need for a nice relaxing holiday. Private beach and spa was gorgeous, well looked after and not busy. All staff were friendly and happy to help with anything at all times of day and night. Shower in room was slightly temperamental with temperature but thats about it.

While this property is very beautiful. It is unfortunate that the staff is so unorganized. From when we arrived there was a lack of explanation on where certain things were in the hotel. Then a DAY after checkout I realized I had left some of my belongings in our room and called the hotel to see if I could arrange to come back and pick them up myself, or arrange for someone to get them to me somehow. I had to call 21 times, 21 times just to receive the answer that they could not locate the cleaning lady to ask her. I was told they would call me back the next morning- they never did. Not once. I had to involve local hotel staff at our other hotel, in order to arrange a private transport for my belongings via skipper to the mainland. Hotel RMH Lafodia did not even ask for my address to see if they could possibly mail it to me, nor did they ever even check the room! 3 hours before my flight departed and another 10+ calls, they finally acknowledged they had my things. Needless to say- I paid 200 euros to have my things brought to me on the mainland Dubrovnik, with little to no help from RMH staff. It’s unfortunate this is how my stay ended. I will not be recommending further.

The first day I was here I had breakfast. It’s from 7-10 am. I went at 7 so everything was fresh. The eggs were cold and the potatoes were overly salted. I let the server know about the eggs, he looked me dead in the eyes and said “I don’t care about your feelings” and walked away. The third day, my door wouldn’t lock. I called the front desk, waited 20 minutes, called again, and then went downstairs. The latch where the door locks was broken off and the door panel wasn’t lit up as “door on, guest here” like the other rooms were. I asked housekeeping since they were a room over from mine how to get my door locked. They said “That door doesn’t lock but there’s a camera on it. So that’ll be fine.” I went downstairs and spoke to two receptionists; they informed me to leave my bags and come back in a few hours. I said “I prepaid over $2,000 for a hotel room. I’ve been here for 3 nights. I’m going out for the day and need to put my belongings in a locked room.” On the website they state they have foam pillows upon request. I asked them 3 times for a pillow, because the one in my room was very stiff and I had neck aches for 4 days. I never received a foam pillow even though it’s stated on the website, they’re available upon request. I was also charged for 7 days, and I stayed for 6 days. They refuse to refund me the $290 for the 7th day.

We have stayed at this property for many years and it is absolutely fantastic every time. Every room has sea view, the crickets are so lively and the rooms perfectly appointed and look brand new. Breakfast is great, beach perfect, staff kind. We love every minute we spend on Lopud, and especially at Lafodia hotel. Thank you!

The hotel itself is good, and the private beach is great, but the food prices are extortionate. I went in July peak season, but paying 30 Euros for a burger and beer is ridiculous. The whole island is like this, having a captive market of customers. The breakfast is okay, nothing special. Word of warning, on the Sunday night I arrived a bar on the Island played music until 3am at a DEAFENING level. I mean seriously loud, so there was no chance of me sleeping until it stopped. Fortunately this was just the Sunday night as it would have ruined the holiday had it been every night. Also the website was vague as to whether there is a gym; there isn’t. It’s a small area outside about 2 minute walk up the hill with 2 dumbbells and a broken piece of resistance equipment.

Lovely to be back here for the 3rd year! Best thing about this hotel is the staff who go above and beyond for you. Special thanks go to the staff at La Baja bar and restaurant at the front of the hotel- so friendly and hard working. Can’t wait to come back next year.
