Nauti unelmistamme! Historiallinen Buckhorn-talo rakennettiin vuonna 1925. Viimeksi kuluneiden 6 vuoden aikana olemme remontoitu maalaismainen loma-asunto, joka sopii erinomaisesti perheille, romanttisille lomille tai ystävien kokoontumiselle.
Enintään 6 vierasta (sekä alle 2-vuotiaat lapset) sallitaan San Juanin piirikunnassa (ja noudatetaan tiukasti).
Lodge on uusittu kylpyhuone, uusi setripäällyste, puuhella, lasten makuutila, poreallas (merinäköalalla), polkupyörät (kyllä! Voit ajaa kaupunkiin noin 15 minuutissa - päästä autosta!), Kajakkeja, rapuja ansoja, yksityinen ranta, pingispöytä, BBQ, palo kuoppaan. Kyllä, se on maalaismainen, mutta ihanan mukava ja täydellinen perheen perääntyä.
Älä vietä lomasi ajoon rannalle. Oma ranta on noin 10 metrin päässä 40 jalka kannen (katso kuvia), joka kulkee pituus edessä talon. Voit rentoutua pitämällä silmällä lapsia. Näkemykset ovat hämmästyttäviä - lumipeitteinen Mt. Baker on näkyvissä Koillis-Vantavalle, Vancouver on ohi Sucian saaren lounaaseen.
Kuten totesi, voit ratsastaa yhden polkupyörän tai käydä East Soundin kaupunkiin ostoksilla, syödä yhdessä upeista ravintoloista, osallistua viikoittaisiin viljelijöihin tai vain kävellä. Koska olemme niin lähellä rantaa, se tuntuu kuin olisit omalla yksityisellä saarella. Meillä on muutamia naapureita, jotka kaikki ovat hienoja ihmisiä.
Meillä ei ole televisiota tai maaverkkoa, mutta tarjoamme langatonta internetyhteyttä, joten voit käyttää Netflix-, Amazon- tai Hulu-palvelua sekä videonauhuri- ja DVD-soittimen, johon on valittavissa noin 150 elokuvaa.
Kaksi erillistä makuuhuonetta, joissa on queen-vuode, taittaa kaksinkertainen patja olohuoneeseen ja lasten parvi, jossa on vauvansänky ja taitettavat vuoteet, jotka nukkuvat 4-6. Siellä on myös neljän hengen teltta, jonka voit perustaa nurmikolle ja laittaa taitettavat patjat sisään. Buckhorn Lodge on ainutlaatuinen paikka - lähellä kaupunkia, aivan veden äärellä, upeat näkymät kauniille Orcas-saarelle.
Kotimme tarjoaa erinomaista arvoa: sen upean rantapaikan sijainnin lisäksi vuokra-ajan hinta pyörii orkleilla yhdelle päivälle on 115 dollaria. Kajakit vuokraavat 25 dollaria. 00 tunnissa. Nämä kaksi mukavuutta lisää yksinomaan 1000 dollarin arvoa vain muutaman päivän käytön jälkeen!

No outside noise after 10pm - 7am. This is a San Juan ordinance and our neighbors make sure it is enforced. Please be respectful of our neighbors.
Please make sure children remain on our property. It is easy for children to wander over to our neighbors large inviting lawn. Please don't let them.
No smoking inside the house or anywhere on the property. Fire danger is high in the summer and we don't want cigarette butts littering the grounds.

Beautiful property right on the water with stunning views. Great back deck and hot tub for relaxing outside. Plenty of space with the multiple bedrooms and living areas. Large well stocked kitchen that we enjoyed cooking in each day. Loved the amenities, like kayaks, fire pit, and yoga mats. Everything on and in the property was amazing. The driveway is narrow and there are neighbors very closeby. Owner communicated well and was quick to fix an issue that arose.

Beautiful house, beautiful scenery

This is one of those places where the house was so nice that we didn’t feel the need to do other stuff…! Most of the time we just enjoyed relaxing while looking out at the water. We even spotted a lip,e of orcas, which we understand is not that common!

Unique stay with easy beach access

Consider yourself lucky to stay at this place! Great location: not too far from town/ferry; located on an accessible beach to explore. We stayed for 4 nights, and it was perfect for our short trip. The host was very accommodating & helpful for us first-time visitors to Orcas Island. We are so appreciative of the Instruction Manual provided: ***Do read before! its very informative & will enhance your visit!** House was clean & ready for us. Lots of utensils/pots/pans for cooking/preparing food in the kitchen. Thank you for providing dish soap & paper towels so we could clean up after ourselves! All equipment, firewood, towels, outdoor equipment, whatever that was mentioned in the manual or pictured in the listing was there. Spectacular! Hot tub was clean & ready for use, easy to open close (first time home hot tub user). Kayaks easy to unlock/lock up. (first time kayaker). All communications with host was easy, prompt, clear, and professional. Thanks Larry, Michelle, Jordan & cleaning crew for hosting us! We hope to visit again one day.

Amazing spot!

We had a wonderful time at the Lodge! The views are incredible! The house was exactly as listed with lots of amenities. Larry was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The location was perfect, quiet and private but also close to town. Highly recommend this for a relaxing vacation!

Relaxing and quiet

We wanted to be next to the ocean and we were very happy sitting on the deck with coffee. We had plenty of room for four of us after our daughter and granddaughter joined us for one night. We didn’t get to see any orcas but the morning and evening skies were wonderful. Larry responded quickly to any questions that we had. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Beautiful and Relaxing

We had a wonderful time. The property is gorgeous and you can't beat the view. Spent time kayaking down the coast and cooking at the house after a day spent out exploring. It was a little chilly in the evenings so we used the fireplace quite a bit. Very easy to use and made for many cozy evenings. This place has lots to take advantage of! Wish we could have stayed longer!

The owners are very nice. I know the amenities weigh into the high price point of this vrbo. But with such a high price point, the amenities should be VERY good. The row boat is missing the pins that hold the oars in place (and they were missing last year we were came too). This makes rowing the boat almost impossible. The hammock was broken before we arrived. The steps leading down to the beach are very overgrown. Both times we visited, it just left us very disappointed considering how much we paid for this trip. .

Fantastic Honeymoon House

We spent the last leg of our San Juan Island Honeymoon here and it was just perfect. Very comfortable house with amazing views and outdoor seating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is so close to town for eating and shopping. Also close to hiking at Moran State Park. We swam in lakes and in the ocean. Took advantage of the hot tub and playing games. While the house would comfortably fit 4 more folks, it is perfect for couples. The hosts were very easy to work with. While you’ll find many rules and the need to sign a contract, it makes sense to keep the peace with the residents. Truly magical space!

Rustic Waterfront

We just came back from a week stay at this property and overall it was a great rental. The location absolutely can't be beat. Nothing better than waking up to the sunrise over the water and watching all kinds of wildlife from the porch. The owners also provided a lot of fun recreational options - kayaks, bikes, ping pong etc which was nice. There was a fire ban in progress so we couldn't use the fire pit outside but that couldn't be helped. In terms of the house itself things were a little more rustic than I thought they would be. There was a fireplace in the main living area that didn't work and I was under the impression that it had an insert that I assumed would look like a fire but it ended up just a little dinky electric plug in log set that just glowed. Also, the decor felt a bit dated and needs to be freshened up a bit. Towels, sheets, blankets felt old and a little musty. Plus, it's a bit of a pet peeve of mine, but in a vacation rental you don't want to be staring at family photos on the walls. It made me a bit uncomfortable like I was crashing in a strangers house. Again, location can't be beat and that's really what we were there for. Orcas is definitely the best of the San Juans in my opinion and we would go back in a heartbeat.

Simply magical!

Larry and Michelle are such gracious hosts (and also very fun conversationalists)! The place is pure magic, with an interesting history and stellar views. We saw loads of wildlife, including a curious mink! We were a group of family and friends and had an absolute blast on the kayaks and sitting outside enjoying the super-relaxed vibe. This was our second stay here and we are already planning/hoping for a third! By far our best VRBO experience ever. Thanks, Larry and Michelle!

Couldn’t have been better!

Was like staying at a great friend’s house! The view was stupendous and there were all sorts of things to keep us entertained (boats, a hot tub, sitting on the deck, watching movies!). Everything was so well thought through and appointed. The bedrooms might be lacking in a bit of privacy if you were to go with a group of couples. The third bedroom is a loft with twin beds that is open to the living room. But we had the best time and can’t wait to go back!

August vacation

The property was accurately listed and presented. Our family had a great week and spent 90% of our time outdoors on the island, in the backyard, and along the water. I was really impressed with all the little things that are there and well stocked for your use during the week.....everything from bikes to tin foil. There were only 2 things that were off putting but they were minor and did not effect our week. 1. I, personally, would not hang family photos. It’s a beautiful family but if I am renting the place for a week, I at least want the illusion that it is mine :). Maybe take them off wall when you are not there. 2. The language in the packet about being quiet and behaving is condescending and off putting. Also raising possibility of being arrested if not following the rules is a bit extreme and overdone. I do not own a rental, however, and I assume something has happened in the past to necessitate that which is unfortunate. 3. I would have the trash guys give a heads up to the renters before he arrives. Walking into the kitchen and seeing some stranger in the entryway was surprising. All in all though...a great week and a spectacular location to be for our vacation. We would gladly rent here again

We Love Buckhorn Lodge

This was our second trip to Buckhorn Lodge. It's such an incredible spot. The full deck is just perfect to sit on and stare at the unbeatable view. The inside is great as well. There's plenty of space for everyone, and all the amenities you'd ever need. Larry clearly cares deeply about the experience of his guests. From his responsiveness in communication, to providing bikes and kayaks, to the improvements over the years. Thank you, Larry! Can't wait to come back!

Amazing!

A family birthday celebration for several generations brought us to this idyllic location. Everything you could possible need is supplied for you. All ages (from 5 to 75) had a great time playing on the beach, riding bikes, soaking in the hot tub and just chillin with an adult beverage. Overall, a vacation for the memory books. Larry was very responsive to any questions that came up. We voted to do it all over again next year. Thanks Larry!
