It was easy to get to this motel, and close to gas stations. Staff were barely present. The parking lot looked unclean, with litter and potholes and vulgar graffiti. The room looked run-down, with one light switch not appearing to work and a wall outlet missing any sort of stabilizing plate in front of it. The mattress was fine, but my pillow was the flattest I'd ever seen in a hotel. I had to fold it double to get it to a reasonable thickness. The fridge / freezer worked properly, though, which we needed.

Decent for the price. Safe neighborhood but a few sketch characters making this their home it seemed. All was fairly quiet and uneventful which is fine.

Non stop knocking by staff

The hotel staff knock on your door all morning long to get you to check out asap. So weird getting non stop knocks from 8am on when I called and requested late check out, the calls did not stop. This is what we get for allowing other countries citizens to purchase all of our properties.

Best economy motel in Eau Claire

I've stayed at almost every no-frills motel in Eau Claire (I live in the Northwoods and do my stock up shopping in EC), and this one was the best. Perfect...no. It needs some work, but you can see the effort they are putting into it. Live plants inside, landscaping, clean, quiet. I watched one of the staff outside weeding and caring for flowers, and for the indoor plants which had been brought out, and it was clear the pride the motel takes in it's appearance. I stayed on the hottest day of the year and the AC was amazing! I loved that my dog was able to stay with me, no fuss at all. I didn't ask much of staff, but they were swift to respond. If you are looking for a manned front desk to cater to your needs, free breakfast, and a pool, this place isn't for you (but if you were looking for that you probably shouldn't be looking at economy lodging). However the, if you're looking for somewhere clean, quiet, safe, and unbelievably cheap, you've hit the jackpot!
