Bedrooms need a good clean

To be honest it’s not a highly rated double tree by Hilton. Bedroom was in need of a good clean hairs in sink and on mirror also in shower. Walls in bedroom were filthy. Reception asked would you prefer a kingsize bed and we said yeah that would be fine. Okay that will be £15 ?? We are also Hilton honours members and that seem to matter here. Food in restaurant was good but £17 per night for the car park is steep considering the neighbours are £12. Don’t think I’ll rush back.

Can’t wait to go back!

We loved our stay. All the staff (from the outset) were friendly and helpful. All inclusive options were great - always plenty of fresh choice. We stayed in a ‘famlly’ room - which was two separate bedrooms with adjoining door. We were on the ground floor which meant our ‘balcony’ was actually a wee garden with table, chairs, sunloungers - amazing! Would highly recommend asking for the ground floor if you’re the family room option. Only thing we’d have liked would have been a net privacy curtain kind of thing as well as the normal curtain so folk couldn’t see in. The pool area was huge, loads of sun loungers and never any bother getting one. Nice clean pool, and pool bar area. Entertainment sounded fine - we were ydtt it ally back in our room by 9.30 with the kids so were listening outside from a distance. Easy bus options to Aqualand, Puerto de Morgan, Maspalomas etc from outside hotel. Thank you for a fab stay 😊

Good experience

The room was very comfortable, although the tv didn't work. However someone came and fixed the tv within a short period of time. The room and bathroom were clean the bathroom had lovely toiletries to use and the bed was clea and comfortable The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals were of very high standard and tasty.

If you need to catch a flight out of Edinburgh, you can't find a more convenient choice. This hotel, while in a landscaped and green area, is within easy walking distance of all the terminals For those with heavy luggage, there's a free shuttle bus. There were several minor maintenance issues during our stay and some of the staff were a little abrupt.

Nice, convenient hotel for EDI flights

With an early morning departure from EDI, I decided to relocate to this hotel at the end of my Edinburgh visit. There is an airport shuttle that runs every 20-25 mins, but you can actually walk from the hotel to the airport as well (takes about 10 mins). The hotel is very nice. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The young Italian woman checking me in was so incredibly friendly and helpful. And because this was my first time staying at a DoubleTree outside of the USA, I was happy to see that the warm chocolate chip cookie exists abroad too!

Great location but in need of some upgrading

Good location. Staff were nice on check in. Rooms a bit dated. Used to love a Hilton hotel and always found the beds comfortable. These beds were old and not comfortable. A little upgrade would make a big difference here.

Easy tram connections within walking distance but be sure to use the park and ride stop not the airport stop as there is a big price difference. It was around £35 for a family ticket from the airport into Edinburgh compared to £8 from the park and ride stop which was only 2 minutes further away in the opposite direction. Still a walkable distance - Just under a 10 minute walk rather than 5 minutes to the airport stop. Restaurant is very expensive too. The My hotel opposite was much more reasonable.

Perfect stay close to the airport terminal.

We enjoyed a relaxing stay and will definitely return. Staff in all areas were courteous and cheerful. We had a quiet room on the 3rd floor and the beds were clean and comfortable. I had a lovely swim and sauna, which was a perfect start to the day and we enjoyed an excellent breakfast. We used the courtesy bus, as we had luggage for a 2-week holiday and arrived at the airport terminal within 5 minutes.
