From the moment I entered this hotel, the service was extremely poor. The reception staff were chatting among themselves and ignoring guests. My room wasn’t ready even though I had requested an early check-in. They asked me to wait, and after an hour, the room was still not ready. When I went back to the reception to ask again, they finally found me a room, but only after I paid an extra £20.
So, my one night stay ended up costing £302. At that price, I expected an amazing room, but instead, it was horrible and really run down. They didn’t even provide basic amenities like shower caps or cotton buds, the little extras you expect in a hotel charging that much per night. There was no kettle in the room; instead, you had to use a hot water machine in the bar, which had filthy mugs.
I’m furious that I spent that much money. The whole experience and the sleep was horrible.
