Breakfast provision was poor value for money and the dining space was inadequate for the demand. I booked my breakfast via one of the automated check in machines on arrival - I thought £14 was excessive (Premier Inn breakfast is £10 and substantially better quality & quantity). When I went for breakfast the booking hadn’t registered so I was charged £16 which made it worse value. I raised this at reception and was told there was nothing that could be done. Because a tour group of 50 or more people were swarming around it was difficult to get seated and the choices were restricted the overall breakfast experience was pressured & uncomfortable and not my expectation of a hotel in this price bracket - a £75 per night hostel was the impression created.

Amazing hotel!

I spent months trying to find the perfect hotel for my husband's 50th birthday treat and I am so glad I chose YOTEL! It was perfect! The room was clean, tidy and very cool. The staff were so helpful, friendly and easy to approach. The area where it was situated was great! It was set off the main city centre but only 5 minutes walk until you could see the castle, shops and the tram stop. Will definitely be visiting again but with our daughter next time!

10/10. However, I just need to say that the cleaning lady needs to observe proper hygiene as her body odor leaves a lingering strong smell in the hallways and in the room. Not being mean but just really need to give the feedback to better improve the services.

Central and super modern accomodation.

Central for me to attend a show at the Lyceum Theatre. About 15 mins walk, from Yotel. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Checkout was at 11am. They offer a service to store your suitcase, after checkout. So I had extra time to visit, Rose Street and Princess Street.
Chuffed with TV, shelf for storage, usb points and LED background effects that add atmosphere to room.

Great stay

Fantastic stay, booked 4 rooms for 10 of us, we were all very well looked after, staff were all very helpful. Free coffee in the Bar was a great touch. 2nd time booking the Yotel and we will definitely be back as it was great value in a perfect location.

The hotel is in a great area of the New Town. Close to restaurants, cafes and shops as well as easy walking to all the main sights. Our room was great - clean, comfortable, brilliant shower and controllable air con which was a huge plus in the unusually warm weather we had! Highly recommended

Great clean modern hotel, pity about the mattress

First stay in this edinburgh hotel. Was a nice modern place to stay, high cleaning standards, lovely fresh crisp white bed sheets and free tea/coffee in bar area which was great after after a cold night out. Although mentioned on the website the only negative thing is the memory foam mattress, uncomfortable and too hot, not for me which is a shame as i really liked the hotel but i would prefer a good night's sleep.
