The location in proximity to Yosemite was excellent. The view from the balcony of the river was amazing. The room was OK. The pizza place on site was delicious. The only con was limited places to eat besides the on site restaurant.

Me & my family enjoyed staying at the hotel. Room was pretty nice and clean. Electric stove was useful . However such remote place needs to be improve their service and facilities around food options and coffee drinks. Also they had power outages which is understandable in remote area but in scorching heat they need to have some power backup for minimal devices to operate. Front desk was not coperative to allow purchase of medicines kind of things as their system was down and the only option to buy anything is their store. All this leads to uncomfortable experience for the price you pay to stay .

There were two restaurants on site. However, there was a rolling blackout whike we were there and they did not have backup generators for the restaurants or rooms. We visited in mid August and the temperature was around 100. The rooms got very war. At night without AC and when the power was restored, the AC did not blow very cool air. The rooms are older but nice. The river view was also very nice. Its close proximity to Yosemite's parks entrance is also nice.

Early to the Park

The lodge was clean and reasonably comfortable. The bathtub was an old large Jacuzzi type so it may be difficult for some to get in and out of. One difficulty we had was that the ice machine was in the laundry room which was locked overnight. We left for the park before it was open and had no access to fresh ice. Our air-conditioning didn't work fully overnight and we woke up feeling a warm. We're enjoyed the pizza from the Parkside Pizza shop on-site but not The River restaurant.

The rooms are in disrepair and are dirty. No tissues, dirty coffee pot with used coffee grounds still in the upper basket, cobwebs, lamps that didn’t work. A motel 6 would’ve likely been better. The pizza at the pizza place on site was good.
