Let’s start with the check in process. The person checking us in was not rude but not very friendly or engaging either. The whole interaction felt very transactional. When we got to our room we were very disappointed. As we do with any hotel we stay at we scoped out the room. It was very clear that cleanliness was not a priority for this establishment. The room had a slightly unpleasant odor (my wife described as moist). There was dog food scattered on the floor (clearly not vacuumed after the previous guest). The room itself was very dirty, the bathroom floor was so sticky that we decided not to remove our shoes during our stay. We actually kept them on the nightstand so we could put them on before getting out of bed. My wife checked the bed for bugs and luckily that was clear. We did however opt to sleep with our clothes on. The mattress was not bad to sleep on. The shower was so dirty and mildewed that we opted to use rags to bath ourselves in the morning. We had to lay a towel on the bathroom floor before removing our shoes to clean ourselves as the floor was so sticky. When I pulled a tissue out of the box on the bathroom counter a prescription pill fell onto the counter. This was a bit disturbing as we don’t take any prescription medications. After our sponge baths we went for some breakfast. It was average. When we checked out nobody asked how our stay was. They just asked if we wanted a receipt. We would highly recommend staying at a different hotel.

The first room we were given was not cleaned. We were given a 2nd room and it smelled heavily of smoking residue. We were taken to a third room. In the morning we discovered a patch of black mold about 1 foot in diameter above the shower in the bathroom. The staff was wonderful, but the accommodations and facility maintenance are lacking. The mold is inexcusable. This should be monitored as it can be very dangerous to our health.

My sister and I wanted to split the bill when we stayed for 2 nights over Memorial Weekend. When we checked out we talked to the man behind the desk and he said he could handle it. It has been an absolute nightmare since then. We were both charged th $338 for 2 nights. We are now on June 9th and they are trying to tell us that we stayed for 3 nights and we have only received a partial credit, based on a 3-night stay. I will now be taking it to my credit card company. I will never stay at another Comfort Inn based on this horrific experience.

This is an older property, and it lacks some upgrades that we typically expect like an elevator to get upstairs and USB ports in the rooms for charging. Also, the room smelled very faintly smoky as though it had probably been used as a smokers room, many years ago and they just couldn’t get the smell completely out. On the other hand, the pool was nice and clean and the front desk people were helpful and pleasant. Reasonable value for the money. Some of the breakfast items were slightly stale but at least there was a breakfast provided.
