I get it, need a quick place for the night…this is not it. Dirty rooms. Toilet had stains in it, towels from previous person still hanging over the shower. I got the impression that some of the “guests” lived at this property. There were a few other good looking hotels in the area, spend a few extra bucks and go to one of the name hotels!

Air conditioning didn’t really work, very pungent smell, dirty room, outdated in all departments, keycard did not work second day, other guests very shady and was questioning safety.

This is an older motel showing its age. TV/cable was not working. Bathtub should be replaced. This a motel generally used for those that are homeless. Cigarettes are smoked outside the rooms, but the odor still comes in the windows very strong. I would not call it unsafe but bears being vigilant of your surroundings. Refrigerator was not in good shape and smelled bad. Linens could be updated or cleaned better. One positive is the bed was comfortable.

Room was clean, bathroom was sufficient, only 1 wash cloth and was not replenished in the two days I was there. Heat worked well, when needed. The smoke alarm was disabled or not there, just the fixture. Parking was excellent and easy to access. I missed the coffee and pastries and such, but they were only owners for 3 months they said. The bed was very firm and very comfortable, and the sheets were clean and well made.

The location was convenient and the front desk clerk was very nice. The rooms were OK, I'm not sure the bathrooms were cleaned very well, but overall it was fine.
Nearly dusk, nice view from second floor with moon in sight.

Check in was easy as was checkout. Comfortable beds, big bathroom, easy parking. Had frig and microwave as promised, lots of cable channels and good wifi. No mugs for heating beverages. Had trouble getting tv to come on, but they quickly came to fix the issue. Looks like they are in the midst of renovations esp in the back area of property. Good stsy for the price.

Watkins Glen

Spent the weekend at Watkins Glen International and needed a place to stay. Hotel was convenient and was a clean place to last or heads for the night. Not too much for available close by, but overall a good place for us to stay while we were racing.

I swear I am not picky and never complain-says everyone... But this was the worst ever. Door practically needed to be pried open, room smelled like dirty Mike and the boys smoked a couple bowls before doing "their thing". I was just looking for a place to crash while I hung out at Seneca Lake, so my standards were already on the floor. Aside from the smell of weed and desperation, I noticed the trash can was full. No I did not dare investigate. Yikes. Flicked on the lights in the bathroom to see two(at least) clearly wet towels bunched against the tub with a couple of smaller towels. Gross, right? Oh just you wait! On the sink we had some used soap, toothpaste and a toothbrush, but wait, the cherry on top was the fake fingernail next to the sink. I grabbed my stuff, locked the room, dropped my key at the desk and made a reservation in Watkins Glen before debating whether I needed a precautionary shot of penicillin from the local hospital. It wasn't expensive but it was money well spent for a story I will tell for years. And yes, I took pictures.
