Comfortable, quiet area of a busy highway.

Comfortable except for outside lighting threw a weird yellow ambient lighting throughout the room which did interfere with sleep.

Stayed for a couple of days while in the area for an event. The motel is cute but lacks parking. Nice to have a kitchenette but there are no paper towels or a dedicated kitchen towel to wipe up the counter. While it's a pet friendly place, we had our dogs with us but they stayed in the car. We were very put off by a manager's comment to us, " you tried to get us to believe your dogs didn't come in the room." Yes, they did stay in the car, and that comment was unnecessary and rude. Kate was lovely and accomodating when I called to let her know our arrival was later than the 5:00 pm in person check in. Nice area with lots of choices for food and drink.

I have wanted to stay here for years and I must say, they did not disappoint. Its quaint, it's cozy and very clean. A little home away from home. Great places to eat nearby amd get a good bottle of wine to take home. Short walk to the beach. I will definitely be back again.

Amazing stay in Leucadia

This is a very comfortable, clean hotel centrally located in Leucadia, CA. The hotel staff members are just wonderful! Very accommodating and friendly. Parking is easy and available. We always ask for a quiet room in the back of the hotel and it’s always great! Le Papagayo is a wonderful restaurant within walking distance of the hotel…amazing breakfasts and dinners especially. The little grocery store next door to the hotel…Just Peachy…has great products for your stay. There are a number of coffee places and restaurants additionally within walking distance of the hotel.

Pros: Really really cute updated 1950s property. 12 units..mine had tiny kitchenette with table for 2, large bath tub. Good towels, good queen bed. AC is older wall unit...works well. 2 plates, bowls, cups, glasses provided....all re-usable. Microwave. Refrig. 2 burner stove. Excellent restaurants nearby. Recommend the FRENCH Bakery...the quiet one 3 blocks away for excellent almond croissants. Cons: no Kleenex. No paper towels but there is a cloth dishtowel. Well...the Coast Highway and tourists are 5 ft from unit 12 on sidewalk. The FAST train is 150 ft away and runs all night. I slept well anyway

Historical building with lots of character. Parking is a little tight, but it was fine. Room was clean and AC worked great . Bed was a little too soft for me and my husband.nice place.

Great little place in Encinitas

Hotel is a cute little place right on Hwy 101 main drag where you can walk to everything. Room was clean and had all we needed. Only issue was the AC unit was fairly noisy and we had to use it because it was quite warm and humid. I used ear plugs. Somehow, I got the impression it was closer to the beach. Staff should let folks know they have beach towels to borrow from the office. Everyone that works there is very nice.

It's an old charming beach in the owner and manager are superb hands-on there all the time The rooms are great to have the kitchen and I thoroughly enjoyed it The location was perfect for the family gathering and I'd go there again in a heartbeat

smoke detector open with no battery. Air conditioning unit exceedingly loud. Called the beach inn in but rooms look out on the highway and the beach is several blocks away. Office staff not available till 9 AM so difficult to get a beach towel, etc. or any assistance after 5 PM or before nine. 6inch wide bathroom mirror ?😝
