If you're use to tent camping then this is a step up with beds and your own toilet and shower. If you're use to hotels with AC, mini fridge, microwave, and other comforts, this may not be the best place for you. We had a nice stay and enjoyed the amenities on site like free miniature golf, discounted fishing trips, etc, however, next trip here we'll be staying at a chain hotel instead that has AC.
My husband tends to have a high internal body temp so not having AC was a big disappointment to us. We booked at the last minute and I didn't do the research that I normally do...my bad : /. We felt like we were at a youth camp which was not what we were going for on our vacation. Thankful that it was clean overall (no bugs in rooms), comfortable beds and beautiful views. Shower stall was very worn and wish I'd brought flip flops to wear in there. For paying as much as we'd pay at our usual chain hotel, it was really overpriced. I guess they justify it by providing some free and some discounted things to do for kids and families. The grounds and check in, info, and shop buildings were great, updated, and very nice. Hopefully they'll update the guests rooms/showers and at least put in window unit AC's and mini fridges. And lastly, the breakfast was not worth $16 per person; was close to but not quite equivalent to the free hot breakfast we usually get at the chain hotels. The staff and everyone there were great.
