Not great

Aside from checking in this place was good. It was clean, comfortable, and it had AC. The check in process was terrible, there was no one at the front desk for 30 minutes, phones weren’t working and no one answered the doorbell. The person who came was rude and annoyed. The noise level overall was noisy due to cars on the road.

When i walked in the floor had a layer of sand and my daughter and i both had to wear out shoes inside. The sheets even had sand in them. My room was not cleaned the whole time i was there. My key card needed to be re keyed every time i came back from my excursions for the day. The pillows were ridiculously not usable. I needed to ask for towels because they were not replenished. I will never stay at a travelodge ever again

The smelled bad when we walked in and asked if there was something that could be done and they were full. We went and got deodorizer. The worst part was a lamp did not work. We noticed it was unplugged and I plugged it in and it worked. The lamp had a plugin and when my wife plugged in her phone charger she got shocked, we immediately unplugged the lamp. In the morning I tried to talk with someone at the property and nobody was in the lobby or answered the phone. I would not recommend this property due to very poor customer services.

Disgusting!

Will never stay at Travelodge by Wyndham in Crescent City California EVER again. That hotel "looked clean" on the outside but we were disgustingly surprised when putting our daughter to bed and discovered blood stains on the sheets. My husband also undid his bed and there were what looked and smelled like urine stains on both his sheets. The mattress box also had a huge brown stain. Management didn't really seem to be concerned. We couldn't get a hold of anyone at the reception desk at around 9pm and had to run to Walmart to purchase our own bedsheets which was not in our travel budget nor did we plan on having to provide our own clean sheets, pillows and bedding. Along with dirty sheets, the floors were disgusting, we could feel a thick residue on our socks and feet. We wiped the floor with a napkin and it was black and dirty. Not to mention the stained dirty white towels we had and also had to replace with luckily one I had from home. To sum it all up, this stay at Travelodge was the worst ever. I will be contacting corporate. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND!

The water in the shower was COLD 2/2 nights we attempted showers. After reporting it to the front desk day #1 we were told they would try and resolve it and to let the water run for awhile. When reporting the same issue on day #2 we were told that due to the unit location the water was "on demand". This was a first.

The room smelled so strongly of bleach. There was black mold in the bathroom. The pillows were hard and the bed was not comfortable. Also it stated on their website and Google that they offered free breakfast. They DO NOT offer free breakfast anymore. So lying to customers is really great. The area just felt dirty.

It was a decent budget motel. Location was good to visit Northern section of Redwood NP. Room was clean and the bathroom looked recently remodeled. The lady at the front desk seemed nice so no real complaints. I had to continue to remind myself that the door to the room opens out into the parking area...so it was really noisey at times, but all in all it was not a bad place to stay.

The lock on the door was broken and started to make a noise like someone was opening our door with the key at 6:30am and woke us up. It freaked us out thinking someone is trying to come in, but it just kept going. Tried to call the office from the provided room phone, which was not attached to cord. Found the cord and plugged it in but it was still broken. Walked to the office and pushed the door bell button few times with no reply. Tried to stop the noise but nothing worked. The cleaning lady cane by but she didn’t know how to assist us. We didn’t see anyone in the office and the noise kept going until we left. Didn’t get any rest after that started and we left very annoyed.

When I went to checkin, door was locked. Manager was walking in. Brittany she was really nice. The hotel is old, bed sheets were very old, towels were old. Room was clean though that’s the reason we stayed. Outside room door was dirty, garbage bags were sitting. I should get some credit. Money charged were definitely not worth.
