Rude staff, the TV couldn’t play without taking a minute to freeze then play some more for about a minute (this was the provided tv programming, nothing streaming,) the thermostat was inoperable so no temperature control, the shower plumbing was backwards and very touchy so a minor adjustment would go from cold to scalding hot. Also worth mentioning is that this property is currently undergoing renovations so of the three floors available there were two vending machines both of which were empty. When I asked staff about any bottled water available they said I would have to wait until the breakfast cafe was open. And finally, an employee came into the room at 8:30 am (I didn’t have the deadbolt locked) and woke me up on “accident”. Then at 10 minutes before checkout time a house keeper was knocking on my door to see if I was going to be checking out. All in all I did get a bed to sleep in, but most of what you pay for beyond a bed was not functioning.

Was in town for the northern lights. Room was clean. Shower was perfect. Hotel has restaurant on premises for breakfast and dinner which turned out to be perfect. Will stay here again if i am in Fairbanks. Giving 4 stars and not 5 because hotel doesn't have an airport shuttle ( possibly the only bummer on the trip)

Thermostat did not control heat. Had to turn fan off to keep room at a reasonable temperature. Little bit noisy. TV and internet weren’t too good. TV kept freezing & remote control worried sometimes. Room was comfortable otherwise.

I have a service dog and they put me in a handicap room with rubber like sheets, stains all over the floor, no remote for the tv, it was an adjoining room and I didn’t feel comfortable as I was a woman traveling alone and there was no WiFi that could connect. They moved me to another room, still no WiFi. They told me to go check with the restaurant to get their WiFi information m, which they declined to do saying it was the hotels responsibility. I told them I need to have a non-handicapped room with no adjoining connected room and that I had to have WiFi. They moved me to another room and still no WiFi. I had to speak to the manager and she said that all animals had to be on the first floor. I explained that my dog is a service animal and that I needed to have a room with WiFi. And if there was no WiFi on the first floor that I needed to be on a floor with WiFi regardless of my service dog. They finally put me on the second floor where I was finally able to access WiFi. All of the first floor rooms were in need of a deep cleaning, stains on the carpets, mold in the bathrooms. And if they advertise for WiFi, then it should be accessible on all floors. I got a coke from the vending machine and it was flat with no carbonation at all. I’ve never had such a bad experience in a hotel. I don’t recommend this hotel at all!!! Customer service was poor, rooms dirty, no WiFi.

Room was spotless. Did not have room service, so did not have much contact with staff. I wish I had known that Westmark was a Hilton Hotel, so I could have booked my hotel thru the Hilton Honors program instead of Expedia. I just found out about it at the hotel, and luckily, I got upgraded.

The desk staff was not friendly, it appeared that employees were not happy to be there. The restaurant staff was good however, the limited breakfast options and availability and no continental breakfast as indicated the lack of coffee at the hotel was disappointing. They have a gift shop with a coffee bar but it didn’t open until late morning while yea they had coffee maker in the room, it was subpar coffee with powder creamer. They have refrigerator in the room but no microwave. We did end up buying some instant Starbucks and liquid coffee creamer for our room from the grocery store. The limited amount of staff on duty was a REAL ISSUE when they had hosted a party for the Local Firefighters with 200 guests and only 1 person was on staff when I went down to the lobby to file a complaint and ask that they contact the guest in the adjacent room that were with the Fire Department party that had a screaming female, cursing at her significant other for leaving her halfway through the event (that was the 1st outburst that woke us all up) followed by slamming doors a few minutes later over and over then when I finally fell back asleep, I was awakened by the party that had now moved to the room adjacent to ours. There was no security scheduled, only 1 employee in house and he had to call police to handle the situation. Poor management!!!
