It is overall very nice hotel & convenient to the Sanford Hospital, which is where we had to go. They need to update carpets in the room & hallways plus there was tile missing in bathroom.

The hotel was very clean and the price was great. I was there for less than 12 hours so I didn’t have much time there. What I did experience was outstanding.

I love the microtel brand and stay in them if there’s a hotel in the town I’m visiting. They’re my favorite road trip hotel and I roadtrip for work often in the US and CA. This one did not live up to the brand expectations I had. The hotel was clean but lacked in professionalism. The front desk clerk came to the counter in leggings and a hoodie with beats pods in her ears. The hotel also hosts the USA youth hockey league so there were kids running up and down the halls until late at night and very early in the morning. I’m used to this brand being more business travel guests so maybe it was a fluke. I also had an employee knock on my door at 11pm to check if the water was running. It was a very cold night so I understand the concern, but at 11pm? Still a fan of the brand but likely won’t stay at this location again.

Upon check in, we were told our room was not ready as were 3 other families that were waiting for their rooms. Clearly not enough help at this hotel. We felt bad for the gal at the check in desk because she is overwhelmed and trying her best to be accommodating to guests. It was our unfortunate luck that there are many many hockey families staying as well. Many children running up and down the halls, pounding on doors while their parents party in their rooms.

Nice hotel in good location. No coffee maker in the room which for me is an essential! Lobby coffee was horrible. Breakfast that was included was mediocre. I’d stay again for the location & cleanliness but bring my own coffee maker!
