Tenaya at Yosemite offers 352 accommodations with a safe and free newspapers. Because Tenaya Lodge is a rural location guests should call the hotel if they need additional directions or information on how to get to the hotel. During winter months, chains may be necessary, even for four-wheel-drive vehicles.

Bears inhabit this area. Do not leave food or beverages (including water) in vehicles and heed all other warnings issued by the lodge.

Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

The room was not ready past check in time and the staff initially was not really apologetic. After we showed our frustration of not being able to go to our room to change (we had early dinner reservations), we were offered complimentary breakfast for the next morning. The rest of the stay was amazing! The hotel has some good activities to enjoy, and it is really pretty, nice and comfortable.

100% recommend Tenaya

My partner and I loved Tenaya. We were on our honeymoon and were on a road trip from Vegas to San Fran, so we stayed in lots of hotels, and we liked Tenaya the best. The room was massive, clean, there was loads of activities to do in the resort and the food options were great.

Lovely resort hotel

Such a lovely resort. We only stayed for 1 night and we wish we had stayed for longer. Lots of facilities. Cottages were very quiet and had a lovely setting. The reception area has chess boards and real fires and has a cosy atmosphere. Very busy but worth a visit.

Tenaya is a great place to stay when touring Yosemite. So close to the entrance and beautiful property with lots of amenities onsite. Property is a little dated but very clean.

Wonderful Experience!

This was our first time staying at Tenaya Lodge. Wonderful staff, amenities and comfortable hotel are perfectly situated right outside Yosemite National Park. Coffee, tea, smores and loads of activities are something special at this hotel. Thank you! See you next year.

Great spot to stay if you want to be close to Yosemite and have all the creature comforts when you return. We loved the pool, drinks, and activities. It was easy to navigate and rooms in the lodge were roomy with comfortable beds.

Such a nice hotel, with incredible staff and only 6 minutes away from the South Entrance of Yosemite National Park. Highly recommend this hotel. Brenden the concierge was the best, and helped make our entire hiking day seamless. Zach was so knowledgeable and fun for the glass blowing activity. Riki was incredible at the front desk, they even opened the gift shop for us after hours so we could buy a sweater before the hike at 5:30am the next day. 10/10

Bad mattress, everything else great.

Everything was great, the only issue was the comfort of the mattress. The mattress was too soft and gave us back pain.

Loved this hotel! Close to the park and lots to do inside. We stayed at the cottages. Wasn’t what we expected so next time we will stay in a room in the main area or the cabins. Other than that it was a 10/10.
