Because Tenaya Lodge is a rural location guests should call the hotel if they need additional directions or information on how to get to the hotel. During winter months, chains may be necessary, even for four-wheel-drive vehicles.
Bears inhabit this area. Do not leave food or beverages (including water) in vehicles and heed all other warnings issued by the lodge.
Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

The cabin was SO loud, you couldn't take a step without waking everyone up. The beds had a huge lump in the middle, the hot water heater was so noisy anytime someone turned the water on the whole place rattled. The power went out, which I understand is beyond anyones control, the staff was lovely but I was disapointed

The property is beautiful with lots of nice amenities. Room was standard size with a fun lodge decor. Check-in was very busy, waited more than 15 min, one employee helping a long line and responding to checked in guest requests. Definitely family oriented, upon arrival small children running around in most common areas. Felt quite chaotic for the beautiful setting.

We enjoyed the property, but not all staff were friendly and welcoming. The reception area was nice, but deli and pool area needs improvement. Thursday night we were trying to order food/drinks, and the service members felt bothered by us being there. Not a good experience.

We loved our room which had a king bed and round table. The property was beautiful as was the surrounding area ( Yosemite National Park). The only thing we found lacking was the seating area around the pools . There were cabanas to reserve which were empty and took up too much of the area. Free s’more were wonderful!

Perfect stay

We are fairly local to the area but the lodge made us feel like we were at a resort. Lots to do on site where we didn’t need to leave the grounds. The staff was kind and professional the entire stay.

Lots of dining options. Easy, free parking. My only not: the vanity mirror in the bathroom is for a 6’ tall person. I am 5’3” and the mirror is 100% useless. Otherwise, lots of little snacks in the lobby, lovely robes and big TVs. All the things. Close to Yosemite too.
