Because Tenaya Lodge is a rural location guests should call the hotel if they need additional directions or information on how to get to the hotel. During winter months, chains may be necessary, even for four-wheel-drive vehicles.

Bears inhabit this area. Do not leave food or beverages (including water) in vehicles and heed all other warnings issued by the lodge.

Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

Great option if you are visiting Yosemite. It is near the spouth entrance and the hotel is very nice.

Everything about Tenaya is fairly nice, from family activity to small snack bars which provides free flavor water to energy snacks and chocolate bars. Angela from concierge was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.she mapped out our main sight seeing routes which made our trip to Yosemite so much easier. The only complaint was the AC unit in our room rumbles and oud when it is on. The mattress was loptsided when lay on it. Lastly, there's a $30 fee just to use a microwave to warm up a cold sandwich.

Do not book this hotel. I woke up with over 50 bug bites all over my body, and at one point ants or bugs were crawling on my face while I slept. Despite reporting this to the manager, there was no help, no investigation, and no response to my follow-up email. For the price they charge, the living conditions were unacceptable. This place is not clean, not safe, and management clearly doesn’t care. Spend your money elsewhere.

Nice place. We stayed in a cabin. It’s was spacious. Loved that we had a firepit right outside our door for the free s’mores. Lots of free activities for the kids. Close to Yosemite entrance. Would definitely stay again. Only down side is I thought I was paying for 3 king beds I got one king and bunk beds. I guess it’s not guaranteed you will get 3 king beds

Cottages were cozy & comfortable! Just a short walk to the Main Lodge. We enjoyed the outdoor fire place and the pool. The cafe is great for coffee & pastries/snacks. A good location for exploring Yosemite.

Tenaya Lodge is a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Yosemite National Park. However, the lodge offers great outdoors activiries. Stargazing was a great experience for all our family. Staff was friendly, respectful, bottom line great people. Thanks Tenaya for allowing us to expend a great vacation time with our teenagers.

Heated outdoor pool!!! Great for relaxing after walking around the Park.

The amenities are plenty. The room outside is bit noisy due to some machine outside. The parking is very limited at night, especially if want to park close to the room.
