Our hotel room was lovely and comfortable and had a fabulous view of the Arno and the hills beyond, including the Medici new palace. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff were attentive and helpful.

A last minute booking in a very busy Florence as our flight and the later replacement flight were both cancelled. We totally recommend this hotel. We checked in quite late and the lady at reception was very kind and helpful. We were able to get a light meal. The room is large and the bed very comfortable. Everything is very clean and the bathroom was very good with a walk-in shower which I need. We can highly recommend Hotel Balestri.

The hotel was wonderful! The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We were lucky to have a balcony overlooking the Arno River. It was spectacular at night! The bar and restaurant made dining easy and the food / service was excellent! I highly recommend this hotel to visitors!

The top floor terrace faces the Duomo and Santa Croce, giving a spectacular view of the city lit up at night. The food was very good -- some fun, unique menu items. The staff was friendly & helpful. The only reason the couple of areas that I gave fours were that the room was on the small side, and there was some construction going on along the river -- not the hotel's fault, obviously -- that blocked the view of the river and made the area just in front look a bit industrial. Again, not their fault; just wanted to leave a heads-up that until construction is complete, the area around the property won't be as charming as I assume is usual.

Nice location except the bar service.

Good hotel. Breakfast was good. Room also good for europe standard: big enough. Location is good. They have a new bar and front desk was advertising it with discount on first drink. However, when you go to the bar, it was pretty clear that this was a new endeavor for them. There were 3 group of people in bar in total and everyone in staff seemed overwhelmed with that. After waiting for 10 mins without being addressed, walked out and still no one asked what is up. Minus the bar, hotel is great.

Great location by ponte vecchio. Rooms are pretty small even with a deluxe so not much room to unpack if needed. The rooms were very modern and comfortable. The bar staff was friendly and offered great cocktail options.

Excellent central location for exploring Florence. Located right on the Arno, steps from the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio, this was the perfect home base for exploring the city for 4 days. Stayed in a superior double which was actually quite small so didn’t have much room to open luggage or unpack, but room was still nice and clean. Staff was very helpful with recommendations and reservation requests for restaurants. Lovely breakfast spread each day. Would recommend and stay again.

Expensive (50 euros) per day parking but extremely better than finding parking in Firenze. Car return exceeded staff estimate (1 hour) by 30 minutes. Loved Balestri!
