Our room was nothing fancy, but it was large and comfortable, with a little balcony overlooking the atrium. The atrium area is absolutely wonderful and makes the motel unique. We didn't take advantage of the continental breakfast because it ends at 9, and we were having a slow morning. The staircases going up to the second floor are in need of repair - the concrete on top of the steps is falling apart - but we understand that the place is being renovated, so I'm sure those will be fixed. Staff was friendly and price was super reasonable, and it's only about a minute off I-10 for those traveling across the state.

This hotel looked abandoned. I thought I was in the wrong place, but finally saw the sign identifying it. The bed was horribly hard; almost like lying on the floor. Staff was friendly and competent. I was unable to turn the TV on and had to call for help. Maintenance found that it was unplugged and got it going for me. The remote didn't allow me to raise the volume but I just accepted that.

$20 pet fee not told about ahead of time. Lounge closed and under construction. Got there at 9pm, atrium and all amenities closed. Kinda a bummer. Sketchy feeling area around the back of the property where I was put.

Nice surprise

We really enjoyed our stay. It is a great spot and we would stay here again. I think it would be good for families with the beautiful pool, spa and sauna in the atrium area. Reminded us of Embassy Suites. Continental type breakfast was good and included Texas waffles 🙂

Great value for the money! Surprisingly nice room. Beautiful indoor courtyard containing the pool, hot tub sauna and exercise room. Continental breakfast with waffles made our morning!

My husband and I stayed here (one night) as a stop in the way to New Mexico. The Atrium exceeded my expectations considering the low rate per night. The room (King Standard) was super spacious. Room was very clean and didn't have the over chemically smell like some hotels do. The water pressure in the shower was great The back door leads to the Atrium that has the hot tub, gym, sauna, swimming pool and picnic tables. One of the most unique hotels I've stayed in Texas. They have breakfast available in the morning. When we were there they had TX shaped waffles, a variety of bagels, yogurt, fruit and juices. There isn't alot of space in the area where breakfast is served. But there are plenty of picnic tables in the Atrium area. The hotel was quiet, the bed was comfy, and the hotel staff was incredibly friendly. The only downside was some of the concrete steps leading to the 2nd floor are in need of repair and the sauna didnt get very hot. Just minor things in my opinion. Would absolutely stay here again

What a deal!

This was a fantastic value! Great for families. Room was very large and parking was easy. I got to park right in front of our door. Sliding glass door opened to the atrium and pool area which was very serene. Workout room! Our rate at the time was only $50 on a special. When you drive up, the outside is not that compelling, but it is the total package! rooms are nicer, re-done to some degree, clean, no carpet in our room. I would definitely stay again and hopefully get to try the pool out. Our room had a microwave, desk area, 2 beds, a separate vanity and still plenty of space! Continental breakfast + as they had a waffle maker if you were inclined to make one.

Could be an Oasis- Fell Short

I really had very high hopes for this one… it could be a super, cool place, but fell really short just because it seems no one really cares about the maintenance of the property. The atrium is beautiful, but unkept. There is dead leaves everywhere, dirt on the board walk, dirty pool, the exercise room was a disaster, the sauna was in terrible dirty condition, my room smelled like a dog, the floors were disgusting. I went to Walmart and got disinfectant wipes and Lysol. See pictures. Again, could be a really cool place, but needs new ownership or leadership that cares about the property.

This hotel is genuinely a hidden gem. It has amazingly friendly staff from the front desk to the housekeepers. The rooms while a little older are very comfortable and clean and the pool area is absolutely beautiful.
