The bathroom was missing amenities: hand soap, makeup remover towelettes, etc. I had to request coffee for the coffeemaker. The buffet breakfast was overpriced - $19.95 for powdered eggs, greasy sausage links and potato chunks. At 9 am they had run out of cream cheese, had 4 stale bagels, no sweet breads or muffins and most of the other offerings, fruit, yogurt, etc. were gone as well. Both the Hampton and Homewood offer the same for free.

What do you want for an ovwrnight stay? First is cleanliness, which this property had. Second is cost. The room we had was very reasonably priced. Any staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and courteous. There were food options nearby (Cracker Barrel, yum) and there was food available at the property for a price. I have no problem recommending this Hilton. Its a little bit off I95 but not a terrible distance.

We specifically booked this room as a staycation. We payed extra for the room with the whirlpool tub and the pull out couch. I called ahead to make sure the pool was open and the whirlpool tubs were working. The room was clean. The whirlpool tub did not work and the front desk night clerk didn't seem too bothered by it and was definitely NOT helpful. There were no extra pillows provided for the pull out sofa bed. The pool was so cold only the kids got in. Definitely disappointed. We will look for a different hotel for our next staycation. We were offered breakfast as an additional expense but the hotel is right next to Cracker Barrel and it was cheaper to eat over there.

The Hilton Is No Longer the Hilton!

Overall, I was disappointed in this Hilton! When I booked my stay, there was nothing mentioned about a daily deposit charge. The price of breakfast was extremely high and should be free. The carpet in our room had several torn places and needed cleaning as well as the furniture. Biggest surprise was there is no security on the premises and only one employee onsite for the night shift! The fire alarm system went off at 3:00 am. and we expected the fire department to come for a visible check. Never happen! As people began to exit the building there was no one at the front desk. I later found out she was at the fire alarm panel on the phone with the fire department on resetting the fire system - which meant guests and anyone else could go anywhere or even hide in the hotel! Safe place to stay? I don't think so!
