This property is amazing. I have been staying here since the 1980s. Each room has a private balcony that overlooks Roaring Fork Creek. The ladies at check-in and check-out were great. If you ever wanted a place just a short walk from the parkway, give this lodge a chance.

The bed was terrible, the pillows also, the room was full of bugs, the tub in really bad shape and the heat shutdown in the middle of the night and it was very very cold. We didn’t catch any sleep at all due to the sun of all that.

The staff was nice, but the place.... mmmm what can I say... for that money you better try in a different place. Old hotel, not much effort cleaning, people are allowed to smoke in the balconies so you cannot enjoy the creek because there's someone with the cigarette smoke ruining the moment.

Absolutely loved my stay. The balcony view from the honeymoon suite was so beautiful with the stream. The staff was extremely nice. Also, loved the wood burning fireplace in our room.
