I was pleasantly surprised by condition of Brookside Lodge, at such a competitive price. The staff was very welcoming, and shortly after I booked the room, I received a call letting me know that my room was ready at 9:30 am. Upon arrival, I was also given two bottles of water and two apples, which was a nice touch. The room is small but clean, with no chemical smell, and it includes a refrigerator. We also have a private balcony with a lovely view of the creek. Very happy with my choice!

I loved the creek right outside the back door, the common area was very nice, staff was friendly! Next time i would like a ground floor room as i have a medical condition and walking is painful! And hover round couldnt do ramp, and i know it couldnt do stairs, and neither could i! But was very nice! Would stay again!!!

Enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and the brook was right outside. Could sit and relax just listening to the water. The parking was easy, and breakfast was good, not a lot of options though.

Cute, older bear themed motel

Cute older motel that could use some cosmetic updates; paint peeling, wobbly furniture. But the location and balcony overlooking the creek make up for it. It was clean enough, a little dusty up high. Right across from the Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum, with a trolley stop in front of the motel. Quiet, heat and air worked good, water stayed consistently hot for 3 people to shower. Breakfast was cereals, biscuits, gravy, bagels with cream cheese and jellies, yogurts, milk, OJ and an automatic pancake maker. They have several outside sitting areas that are nice and a walkway along the creek behind the motel.

Girls weekend

The room was clean. Our unit 107 had plenty of room for the three of us. I liked the balcony out back with the babbling brook. They have a policy that you can smoke or vape outside at balcony one in our party smokes which was convenient for her to step outside and sit out with the brook. The beds were comfortable no one suffered a sore or bad back in morning. Pillows were soft so bring your own. Although one bed was completely covered with a zip up mattress the other was not we still checked for bed bugs and none were found. (Standard thing I do) never saw a bug in our 4 days there inside the room. Skip breakfast, unless you like, biscuits with white gravy, three types of cereal, yogurt, apple, oj,. We ate directly across the street. Not our favorite breakfast but did take a few apples, back to room. Convenient walk into town or ride the shuttle right outside the front office. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Only two chairs inside the bedroom we like to play games and went to the front office to sit at a chairs and tables. It was a little cool out to sit outside but if warmer we would have chosen to sit outside by brook. The bathroom lacked a shelf or an extra place to put all your toiletries. All girls weekend and everyone had to bring toiletries to and from the bathroom. Needs a shelf or small cabinet with drawers would be helpful. Overall we enjoyed our weekend,

Great place to stay.

Loved the sound of the river outside our door. Beds were very comfortable. The buildings were older but clean and everything was in working condition. Breakfast was quite limited but good. Good value for the cost.

The only reason I gave a 4 star rating was the beds, very uncomfortable, my back hurt for 3 days after our stay. The 2 ladies at the front desk were absolutely great! 5 stars for the staff!
